Heartiest congratulations to all award recipients at Epilogue 2022! Seven executive committee members of the Intellectual Games Club were recognised for having displayed exemplary leadership qualities and their dedicated commitment to the club. The Intellectual Games Club was also accorded the Club Excellence Award for its outstanding contributions to Student's Sports Club, the wider NUS populace, and the mind sports community over the past academic year.

In total, the NUS Intervarsity Mind Sports Championship 2022 attracted 216 participants from various tertiary institutions, pitting their over-the-board skills against one another for the first time since the COVID pandemic. Amongst all the participants and the four mind sports, Team NUS players have achieved stellar results.
In the Weiqi competition, NUS Team A consisting of Cao Han, Zhangguang Zhesheng and Yang Xiang emerged in the 1st position
In the Xiangqi competition, our players, namely Shawn Tan Jing Kai, Tan Yong Ann, Chow Zheng Shuan, and Gabriel Lau Rong Yang, emerged in the 1st position to clinch the Gold trophy.
In the International Chess competition, NUS Team A comprising of Goh Yijie Jonathan, Siew Kai Xin, Ng Jun Jie and Kwok Teng Yan Megan also clinched the Gold trophy in the Team Category. In the Individual Category, Goh Yijie Jonathan and Rajarshi Basu emerged victorious as the 1st and 3rd place respectively.
In the Riichi Maajan competition, Zhou Shen and Daniel Widjaja emerged in the 3rd and 5th position respectively.
We would like to congratulate our players for their extraordinary performance and, once again, express our gratitude to all 216 participants who made the event possible and fun-filled. We would also like to thank the Office of Student Affairs and the Students' Sports Club for their unwavering support.

Last but not least, 81 participants joined the international chess competition in the NUS Intervarsity Mind Sports Championship. A big thank you to all the participants for making the event possible!

In the Weiqi competition, a total of 10 teams of 3 players competed against one another virtually for the podium in a 5-round tournament. It was such a close and intense competition that we had an unexpected outcome! Stay tuned for more updates in the next few days!

On 12 June, a total of 61 participants from various institutions gathered in NUS to compete in the Xiangqi competition of the Intervarsity Mind Sports Championship. A big thanks to all participants for making the event possible!

NUS Intellectual Games Club organised the NUS Intervarsity Mind Sports Championship 2022 from 4 June to 12 June, featuring Riichi Maajan, Weiqi, Xiangqi, and International Chess competitions. Our flagship event attracted a total of 216 participants from various tertiary institutions, pitting their over-the-board skills against one another for the first time since the COVID pandemic.
The Riichi Maajan competition was held on 4th June with a total of 36 participants. These are some photos from the competition. Do look out for more updates on the other mind sports competitions coming up in the next few days!

In the international chess division, the 18 participants competed against one another in a 13 round round-robin tournament. In the end, Nima Javanbakht emerged to be 1st, Jonathan Goh came in 2nd and Au Khai Xiang emerged to be in the 3rd position. We would like to once again congratulate our winners and thank all participants for taking part in this event!

There were 8 participants in the Xiangqi division of the Intraschool Mind Sports Championship 2022. After competing in 7 rounds, Tan Yong Ann emerged victorious in the 1st position, Shawn Tan came in second, and Lee Yi Heng came in third. We would like to congratulate our winners and thank all participants for taking part in this event!
