The trophies had been presented. The photos had been taken. Then came one final announcement...
From the very beginning, our vision for SEA Boulder League has never been limited to crowning Southeast Asia’s best climbers. It’s about creating opportunities for our athletes to step onto a bigger stage and showing the world what our region is capable of.
That’s why, together with Portside Boulders and Stax, Joelle and Paul, our SEA Boulder League 2026 Overall Champions, will be heading to Perth, Australia to compete at West Coast Blocs exactly one month from today, on 29 August 2026, with round-trip flights, accommodation, and competition entry fully covered ✈️🌏
This is the next chapter in Joelle and Paul’s journey, from being crowned Southeast Asia’s best to representing our region at another continent. They’ll step onto the walls at West Coast Blocs carrying not only their own ambitions, but the hopes of a region behind them. We’re proud to be part of that journey, and we hope you’ll join us in cheering them on 🥳
A heartfelt thank you to Portside Boulders and Stax for believing in this vision and partnering with us to make this unforgettable prize a reality. Opportunities like these are only possible because of partners who share our commitment to creating bigger opportunities for Southeast Asian climbers.
Congratulations once again to Paul and Joelle! We can’t wait to see you represent Southeast Asia in Perth 🇦🇺

Southeast Asia Climbing
Southeast Asia's Premier Boulder League
Bringing to you the best climbers in Southeast Asia!
Some victories are measured by trophies. Others are measured by the person you become along the way. For Paul, this journey began with uncertainty. But instead of letting those doubts define him, he chose to show up, round after round, and trust the process.
What followed was a journey of growth, humility, friendship, and discovering that the best moments often come when you’re simply enjoying the climb.
One thing Paul made clear was that he sees this achievement as the result of countless people who believed in him. He spoke about those who gave him the opportunity to begin this journey, encouraged him to step out of his comfort zone, challenged him with every boulder, stood beside him when competing abroad, and never stopped believing in what he was capable of. This championship may bear his name, but in his heart, it belongs to everyone who helped him get there.
Congratulations, Paul, on becoming our SEA Boulder League 2026 Overall Champion. Your story doesn’t end here, and we’re cheering you on every step of the way. After all, something special still awaits, and we can’t wait to tell everyone about it 🤫
Across 3 countries and 3 rounds, Joelle Cheah stayed focused on the process. She turned up, trusted her preparation, and earned the title of SEA Boulder League 2026 Overall Champion!
For Joelle, this season wasn’t just about standing on the podium. It was about discovering new gyms, meeting climbers from across Southeast Asia, sharing meals after competitions, and proving to herself what she was capable of.
This achievement is also one she shares with the people who supported her along the way. A special thank you to her family, Gerald, Fitri, and Beatrix, to name a few, for believing in her, pushing her to improve, and giving her the confidence to keep chasing her goals.
Congratulations once again, Joelle! We’ll see you on the wall again soon, yes? 😉 ✈️ 🌏

For SEA Boulder League 2026 Round 3 in the Philippines, thanks to the team who helped bring this season to such a powerful close 🇵🇭
Final rounds carry a different kind of pressure. Emotions run higher. And all of you showed up every day to make sure climbers and spectators could experience something meaningful 💙
From preparing the venue and building the competition environment to handling operations, athlete flow, crowd movement, scoring, media, troubleshooting, and all the countless things happening in the background, your work shaped the entire atmosphere of this final round.
What people remember publicly is often the climbing. But what makes all these possible are the people behind the scenes who continue showing up.
And maybe that’s the clearest reminder of why all of you do what you do. Because you genuinely care about creating spaces, moments, and opportunities that mean something.
Thank you for giving this season the ending it deserved 🌏⚡️

SEA Boulder League 2026 Round 2 in Malaysia would not have felt the way it did without everyone working behind the scenes, so thank you! 🇲🇾
By Round 2, expectations had grown. More climbers were arriving with momentum from Indonesia. And behind all of that was all of you, continuing to show up every day to make sure the event could run smoothly and that our climbers and spectators had a good experience 🤝
You handled the long days. You dealt with the schedules, the crowd flow, the judging, the operations, the communication, and all the little details most people may not even notice. Even when things got tiring, you continued showing up and giving your energy to the event.
A lot of what you did mattered. The atmosphere people experienced across the weekend only existed because of the work happening in the background ⚡
️
Thank you for helping carry this movement forward together.

Thank you to our organisers, volunteers, route setters, judges, crew, and hosting gym behind SEA Boulder League 2026 Round 1 in Indonesia 🇮🇩
Long before climbers arrived and spectators filled the space, all of you were already hard at work behind the scenes making this event possible. From route setting and scheduling to judging, registrations, logistics, livestreams, floor management, cleaning, and all the invisible details people rarely see, Round 1 only happened because so many of you chose to give your time and energy ⚡
️
Launching the first round of a regional circuit comes with pressure, uncertainty, and a thousand moving parts. But despite all of that, you created a space that welcomed climbers from across Southeast Asia and helped set the tone for everything this movement would become.
Thank you for believing in the vision before anyone knew what SEA Boulder League 2026 could even grow into 🌏
