Never underestimate the importance of checking your tanks before using it. It can cause severe damages to your regulator.

Poor customer. Trusted a non authorized technician to service his Scubapro Mk25. It was whistling a high pitch as well.

Not gonna like the bill for this servicing.

This regulator was submerged underwater for a month. After cleaning, servicing up and replacing the cover, it works like new

Here we go. Getting ready the tanks for SEA Expedition for the next few weeks.

Scuba cylinders are one of the most ignored items for equipment servicing. But it is really as important as your regulators.

We will be tied up servicing all their 80 tanks, O2 clean it and servicing all the valves and getting them ready for Singapore divers.

Another interesting regulator.. ... time to power up the ultrasonic cleaner.

Yummy.. .. additional protein in your regulator..

Given the type of diving we are doing in Pulau Hantu, which is primarily silt, and insufficient water to rinse your regulator, it is a good idea to wash your equipment thoroughly when you reach home. We love diving at Hantu right now, especially with the sudden spottings of more and more macro stuff, it is also a good idea to service your equipment more often.

And for those smart people, who comment, it is ok, I will just use rental equipment. Think again, which dive centre will thoroughly wash and maintain their equipment. You might be breathing dried silt from 12 months ago.

When bringing your regulator for servicing, it is important to take a look at the service counter of where the technician is working. Your technician should have a clean and bright area for his work as this will allow him to scrutinize every single part of your regulator to see if any parts have been damaged and required a non-annual replacement.

Not all the technicians are built the same. Experience technicians will be able to spot slight deformation in your regulators and such deformation can be quite a disaster in water.

The previous technician totally missed this out. Thankfully this unit has only been used in the pool

Your regulator should be serviced as per manufacturer recommendation. Failure to do so can be more costly in the long run. And find a reputable technician for your works.
