The athlete specific layer!

Coaches, programming for the sport and the position isn’t enough for high level athletes and experienced clients! There are so many more elements you have to consider.

Remember every athlete has a unique history, unique proportions and has unique physical needs!

Don’t fit the athlete to the program, fit the program to the athlete!

Coach Review:

“FEAK is the first software where I don’t feel like I am restricted by the flexibility of the program design. And the fact that it’s all part of the structure of the software means all athlete data is kept searchable and traceable. The additional habit formation and coach-athlete communication systems are the icing on the cake. I built FEAK for my own use and I love using it.”

Training splits for General Population Clients:

It is well documented in the research that training a muscle group twice per week is the best approach to maximise progress when resistance training.

When training general population clients the art of program design is balancing resistance training with outside of gym commitments and other exercise endeavours/interests.

These three training splits adhere to the training a muscle group twice per week frequency rule while catering for varied levels of commitment and desire to resistance train!

Are you using deloads the right way?

Let’s get one thing straight, deloads aren’t a magic fix for poor programming! They’re a strategic tool to manage fatigue and optimize recovery. Here’s what you need to know:

The Problem:
Waiting until the end of a block to deload often leads to missed progress. Fatigue from excessive volume or intensity can hinder adaptations throughout the block.

The Fix:
Program recoverable training from the start. Ensure your sessions allow for progressive overload without unnecessary fatigue.
When to Deload:
* Hit a plateau? Deload.
* Feeling drained? Deload.
* Wanting to peak strength and power? Deload.
* In-season athlete? Adjust volume and intensity accordingly.

How to Deload:
1️⃣ Reduce frequency.
2️⃣ Lower intensity.
3️⃣ Cut sets (volume).
4️⃣ Swap exercises for lower-fatigue options.

Pro Tip: Deloads also help mentally. Sometimes, a lighter week can refresh your mindset and motivation!
