1 day to Paralympic Day! We continue to spotlight the athletes who show us what it means to Reach Beyond.

Meet Sophie Soon and her guide dog Orinda!

Diagnosed with cone-rod dystrophy as a child, a condition that causes deteriorating vision and may eventually lead to blindness, Sophie has never let it define her limits. A Grade 8 violinist who once performed with The Sam Willows at the President's Star Charity Show, she eventually put music on hold to focus fully on competitive swimming.

Sophie has gone on to represent Singapore at the 2015 ASEAN Para Games, made her Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games (finishing 4th in the Women's 100m Breaststroke SB12), and won her first World Championships title at Madeira 2022 with a silver and a new personal best.

Cheer her on as she prepares for the next Games! Let's Reach Beyond together

Paralympic Day is just around the corner, and we're excited to spotlight the incredible athletes who embody what it means to Reach Beyond.

Meet Syahidah Alim

Syahidah is the first female archer to represent Singapore at the Paralympic Games. Since her major Games debut at the 2015 ASEAN Para Games, where she bagged two gold medals, she has gone on to reach the quarter finals at Rio 2016 and became Singapore's first ever World Champion at the 2019 World Archery Para Championships in the Netherlands.

Beyond the sport, Syahidah has served as Chairperson of the Singapore Para Athletes Commission and was a member of the Asian Paralympic Committee Athletes Committee. A leader on and off the field.

She represented Team Singapore at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, and continues to inspire a nation.

Cheer her on as she prepares for the next Games! Let's Reach Beyond together
