I first engaged Peter’s service back in 2015 when I sent to him my factory built Bontrager wheels for tuning. I was recommended his services by a friend who’s been a fan of Peter’s work. I instantly felt the difference after tuning as the wheels spun so much better and more consistent. The 2-year-old wheelset all sudden felt like it was brand new! Following that, I had engaged Peter to build a wheelset from scratch for my new bike. Took his advice on what hubs spokes to use and Peter has been my regular wheel builder for the last 5 years. I’ve built many wheelsets with Peter and none of them have ever disappoint me. I’m not particularly a light rider weighing in at 125kg with gear, but Peter has ensured every single time any wheels he built for me would withstand and form of bashing. I’ve brought the wheels that he built for me to many locations around the world which includes Bromo, Bali, Malaysia, Italy and even to Whistler Canada and they have excelled every single time! Even on some instances where I ran into mishap and cracked my rim or even broke a few spokes, I could still carry on with my ride and the wheels never once wobbled or went out of true! This is the testament to Peter’s superb wheel building skills that even a cracked carbon rim or running on 1 or 2 spokes lesser still didn’t hamper my ride. I’ve always told Peter it is my challenge to break the wheels but unfortunately or rather fortunately, I have been unsuccessful every single time. Peter is meticulous with his builds and will go the extra mile to make sure whatever he builds is suited to your riding needs. I’ve never visited any other wheel builder, nor have I asked any workshop to service my hubs and wheels ever since. Whatever bike servicing I do I always tell the mechanic to not touch the wheels as my preference is to let the master handle it himself. Thank you, Peter, for the superb work!
