Every parkrun begins long before the first participant crosses the start line and continues long after the last barcode is scanned.
Behind every event is a team of incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and smiles to make it all possible.
From welcoming first timers and checking the course, to marshalling, timekeeping, barcode scanning, handing out finish tokens and cheering everyone on, every role plays an important part in creating a safe, friendly and inclusive event.
To every one of our hi-vis heroes—whether you volunteer every week or just a few times a year—thank you. Your generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit are what make parkrun so special.
If you've ever thought about volunteering, we'd love to have you join us. No experience is needed, and there's a role for everyone. Together, we make parkrun happen.

🇸🇬 National Day parkrun is almost here! ❤️🤍
This Sunday, 9th August, both East Coast Park parkrun and West Coast Park parkrun will be hosting special National Day events, and we'd love your help to make them happen!
Our events are only possible thanks to our amazing volunteers, and we still need a few more hi-vis heroes to help us deliver a safe and enjoyable morning for everyone.
Whether you can marshal, timekeep, scan barcodes, check the course before the event, or take on another volunteer role, we'd be incredibly grateful for your support.
