I arrived in Giessen yesterday afternoon, to begin preparations for my solo performance, On Display. It will be performed next monday.

It's wonderful to be back in the city that gave me the space and time to re-think my approach to dance, while studying at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies. On Display is a result of 7 semesters of focusing on the most fundamental aspects of why i want to be a performer; of challenging myself to remove the fluff in order to reveal that which I find most powerful.

Being in this compact, relaxed city, surrounded by amazing school mates and teachers was exactly the thing i needed then to experience dance differently from what i already knew. Here, i learnt never to underestimate the importance of giving space and time for things to occur. Patience, faithful waiting and trust, these have allowed me to experience things i have not experienced before; not because they were not already there, but because i had refused to let them reveal themselves to me.

Hello friends in Singapore. it has been a while since i have been back. I'm super excited to let you all know that i will be back in Sg soon, and will be performing alongside other wonderful artists in Dance Nucleus' presentation, Vector 2 - Dyads.
