In this week's Athletes in Focus, presented by 100Plus, we have national water polo player Ranice Yap. She first started water polo when she was 8 years old. She was initially introduced to flippa ball and grew fond of it. Therefore, she decided to pursue water polo as a sport.
Ranice refers to her mother as her biggest inspiration. She mentioned that her mother is a strong and capable woman who always reminds her to work towards her goal. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going” is something that she lives by.
When it comes to food, like almost every other Singaporean she believes that she could probably live on just chicken rice.
Come to support Ranice and her teammates this week as they battle it out against the region's best at the Singapore Water Polo Inter Nations Cup from 18-22 May 2022 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre! Tickets are on sale at https://ticketmaster.sg/activity/detail/22_sgwaterpolo
