Most networking advice doesn’t work for experienced leaders.
“Put yourself out there.”
“Talk to more people.”
“Follow up.”
You’re already doing that.
The real difference is the setup.
The room shapes how you show up.
The prompts shape what you say.
The next step decides if the connection lasts.
That’s how we design Vibe Tribe.
Curated rooms.
Led by people who understand real networking.
With structures that make it easier, even for introverts.
If you want to be more intentional about your network, we’re hosting a masterclass at PSB Academy, Cathay campus.
Led by someone I deeply respect for how she builds real relationships, both online and offline.
Christina Teo.
She has built and rebuilt her network in Singapore and leads communities like Meet Your Peers.
If you’re a leader or mid-career professional who wants fewer awkward conversations and stronger connections, this is for you.
Dinner and Vibey swag included.

He almost missed the room.
The first time Vibey was invited to a LinkedIn event, he almost didn’t go.
But he did.
That was where he met Red Panda.
Who later introduced him to another LinkedIn Top Voice.
One small yes changed his circle.
Fast forward.
Red Panda invited him to a CNY lohei networking dinner.
Again, Vibey hesitated.
“It’s a free 8-course dinner” was all it took to convince him.
Course 1. Lohei
Course 2. Appetisers
Course 3. The fish
Midway through the noise, Vibey stepped out for a quick break.
When he came back…
The fish was gone.
“I thought you didn’t want it,” someone said.
That’s networking.
You hesitate.
You step away.
Someone else takes the opportunity.
But the night wasn’t over.
“Double portion for you,” the waiter smiled.
You don’t need every fish.
Just stay long enough for the next course.

Have you ever returned to a place you have never been?
That was the question I didn’t expect to feel so deeply.
When locals found out I was an overseas Chinese, they kept saying
“第一次回来吗?多回来吧”
Is this your first time returning? Come back more often.
Returning.
But I had never been here before.
I was standing in a village in Hui An for the very first time, yet they welcomed me as if I had always belonged.
This was my 寻根 journey. A search for where it all began.
Months before the trip, my uncle had been tracing our family history.
He found the grave sites of our great grandmother and her firstborn.
He located the village where my grandmother grew up, before the family moved to Xiamen, and eventually to Indonesia in search of a better life.
When we arrived, we weren’t just visitors.
We were welcomed by villagers, distant relatives who share our surname, and even local officials who had prepared stories and family records for us.
They showed us an empty plot of land.
Once, it was a small provision store run by my great grandfather.
He passed away at just 30.
And that was where the real story began.
My great grandmother, widowed and raising multiple children on her own, found a way forward.
At a time when migration required sponsorship, she made sure each of her children, and even their children, had a chance to leave for a better life in Indonesia.
Standing there, looking at what remained, something shifted in me.
We, the children and grandchildren of migrants, are living the life they fought for.
Every flight we take.
Every opportunity we pursue.
Every door we walk through.
They made it possible.
My great grandmother had no titles, no credentials, no platform.
Just resilience, courage, and one decision that changed generations.
If you come from a family of migrants, your story didn’t start with you.
Go find your roots while you still can.
Ask the questions.
Make the trip.
Stand where it all began.
And allow yourself to feel what it means to finally come home.

Who remembers when Vibey finally showed up to his first IRL networking event of the year at LinkedIn APAC HQ?
That moment came after months of quietly challenging himself.
But once he finally turned up… what came next?
Encouraged by two Top Voice influencers at the meetup, Vibey decided to try something even scarier: writing a post.
Who would’ve thought that finding the right words could be just as hard as showing up?
Did he manage to publish his very first post?
And that’s where Episode 5 leaves us.

And Vibey Tales continues... we are dropping Episode 4 now!
What happens when Vibey didn’t run away. 🤭🤗

If LinkedIn had trading cards, this would be yours.
Not based on job titles.
Not based on how often you post.
But on how you naturally communicate.
This is something we’ve been quietly building at .io
A one of a kind LinkedIn persona assessment that gives you
• a personalised persona snapshot
• your own LinkedIn persona trading card
• a one page PDF summary
When I saw my own result, it finally explained why some content styles feel effortless for me and others never stick.
It also revealed why I’m naturally drawn to certain profiles and voices on LinkedIn.
I’m sharing this as a New Year gift for my community.
Each LinkedIn profile can use it once.
And the access code is only valid until 6 January.

Ep 3
The Real Voice
The LinkedIn networking lunch had finally arrived.
The one Vibey said yes to, even though his paws were shaking.
Standing outside LinkedIn APAC HQ, everything felt big.
And he felt very small.
But he had promised himself he would show up.
Inside, laughter filled the room.
Vibey’s magnet ears trembled.
What if everyone could see how nervous he was
Then the hosts spotted him.
“Vibey. You made it.”
They were waving.
At him.
Then came the surprise.
“Vibey, we’d love for you to say a few words later.”
Into a microphone.
In front of over a hundred people.
He nearly fainted.
Moments later, Vibey sat at the front.
The mic moved closer.
He opened his mouth.
Nothing.
Soft, kind laughter.
He tried again.
“I AM VIBEY.”
A deep, dramatic voice burst out.
From a tiny bunny magnet.
More laughter.
His cheeks turned bright pink.
Then he heard what he needed most.
“Vibey, just be yourself.”
He took one breath.
And tried again.
“Hi, I’m Vibey.
I was just trying to impress.”
The room melted.
Cheers.
Smiles.
“We love you, Vibey.”
And for the first time, he felt seen.
Not for a borrowed voice.
Not for fake confidence.
But for who he already was.
And that changed everything.

Ep 2
A life-changing opportunity
The morning of the networking event, Vibey woke up with a tight chest.
He had promised himself he would show up.
But doubt crept in.
What if he was not ready
What if everyone else felt confident while he felt small
Then his phone buzzed.
Two LinkedIn Top Voices viewed your profile.
A message followed.
They called him a hidden gem.
Someone doing meaningful work, just unseen.
They invited him to step out of his comfort zone and introduce himself at the event.
Vibey reread it again and again.
A hidden gem
Him
The bunny with less than 100 followers
Maybe he was not invisible.
Maybe he just had not been seen yet.
Fear was still there.
But courage rose higher.
With trembling paws, Vibey typed yes to an opportunity that would change everything.

Ep 1
Meet Vibey.
A shy bunny magnet who wanted to be trusted and chosen.
But first, he had to face what he feared most.
Public speaking.
Meeting strangers.
He avoided events.
Overthought invitations.
Signed up… then backed out at the last minute.
For 11 months, he told himself he would try.
For 11 months, nothing changed.
Until he saw two LinkedIn Top Voices posting about an event called AI Without the Ick.
The people looked warm.
The community felt safe.
So he signed up.
But on the day itself, fear won again.
He did not show up.
Instead, he sent an apology message.
And something unexpected happened.
She did not scold him.
She encouraged him.
She said they were building a community for professionals who wanted to be seen, trusted, and chosen.
Being trusted and chosen sounded wonderful.
Being seen was the part Vibey feared most.
He told himself his work should speak for itself.
But opportunities kept going to those who were visible.
That truth stung.
And it pushed him to act.
So Vibey made a promise.
Just one event.
He would show up once.
At the LinkedIn office.
What happened next shocked him to the core.
Ep 2 coming soon.
