Months of hard work, commitment and dedication is what carried our teams to the end of this incredible worlds campaign 🇳🇿🇸🇬

With the competition getting tougher and teams continuing to raise the bar each Worlds, having the majority of our HMP teams finish Top 6 in their finals across all races is an massive achievement 👏🏼

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our paddlers who performed out on the world stage - representing our club, whānau and Aotearoa 💛💙

The results are only one part of the story - the people, the memories and the journey is what matters the most ✨

Take it all in! Celebrate all the hard work & soak it all up! We can’t wait to hear all about it when you arrive back!

Until then, enjoy the sunshine and safe travels back home whānau ✈️

Team: Haumoana Hōhās (J16’s)
Coach & Manager: Christine Kaua & Julie Kay
Team Paddlers: Hinepukohurangi Tiuka-Grant, Lilly-Rose Kaua, Marei Conmee, Poppie Mane-Walters, Ohomairangi Kapea & Rana Conmee

Haumoana Hōhās, they showed heart, resilience, and unity throughout the season! As first-time paddlers, steerers, and coaches, you approached Nationals with determination and a strong belief in one another 🤝🏽 This season was about growth under pressure and learning how to race together as one ✨

Their journey is far from over, this is just the start of what’s yet to come!! ✨

Team: Koutu Kōtiros (Intermediate)
Coach & manager: Christine Kaua & Julie Kay
Team Paddlers: Tatiana Conmee, Tiana Hapi, Arihia Folwell, Omaio Ngamoki, Raumahara King & Ahli Gillies

What a debut season!
Koutu Kōtiros, stepped into waka ama at the biggest stage with zero prior experience first time paddlers, first time steerers, and first time coaches and yet they carried themselves with confidence and courage! 💪🏼✨ From the early trainings learning the basics, to lining up at Nationals, they showed grit, trust, and a willingness to grow. When things got challenging, they didn’t shy away you leaned in and kept going. This season was about building foundations technique, teamwork, and belief!! ✨

The plan is to come back together at the end of the year and begin training again for Regionals and Nationals! This is just the beginning for Koutu Kōtiros 💛💙
