It’s said that within Liuhebafa lies a key to Chinese internal martial arts. Not a secret that can be explained, nor something revealed through technique. It only becomes visible to those who have been given the proper foundation and have trained long enough for the body itself to recognise it. For this reason, it was transmitted quietly, from one body to another, rather than through public display. And so, even today, most people never quite see it.

Most people have never heard of Liuhebafa 六合八法.
Even fewer know how it was traditionally trained.

Beyond solo practice, one of its lesser-known methods involved training with a wooden ball. Below is Master Yun demonstrating one of the ball methods.

Liuhebafa is sometimes called “Water Boxing”.
Not because it is soft, but because it adapts, flows and changes without losing structure.

At first, it looks simple.
With time, it reveals depth.

This is a traditional internal art, calm on the outside, demanding on the inside, suitable for both beginners and long-term practitioners.

If you’re curious about training balance, coordination and continuous movement in a systematic way, Liuhebafa is worth exploring.
