Coach Nguyen Liem Thanh of BMG U17 debriefed after the friendly game earlier:

“The result is immaterial. Here, we get our players to play against stronger opponent for their development. We want the players from Singapore to have a taste of it and they show good attitude towards it

The opponents are 2-3 years older but the players did not give up. The players with small built like Aiman, Adry, Reza and Naseef put in a commendable performance without giving up at all times

While Elhan shows good leadership quality as such giving him the captaincy during the game. Maqil also shows he can compete with the opponents together with the others

We want to see them pushing themselves further and continue with the attitude of openness in training with us during these programme

We hope to have a lasting relationship with the academy as this is the first time we are doing such partnership. Definitely, something we want to see progressing together and also probably, having our team coming over to Singapore”
