𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬:

🔹 Grips: The inner diameter (ID) of the replacement grip should match the outer diameter (OD) of the pole shaft at the top.

🔹 Ferrules: Check the diameter and shape of the shaft at the bottom. The ferrule’s inner dimensions must fit the shaft and be suitable for either a cylindrical or tapered profile.

🔹 Baskets: Check the mounting system and make sure the basket is compatible with the existing ferrule or basket adapter. Basket size also matters: larger baskets generally provide better support in soft or deep snow, while smaller baskets are better suited to firmer, more compact surfaces.

For accurate measurements, use a caliper and compare the results with the dimensions listed on the product page and the cross-section drawings where available. If your pole shaft is tapered at the bottom, follow the dedicated measuring instructions before selecting a ferrule. 🛠️

Worn out rollerski ferrule? Don't retire your poles - replace the ferrule! 🛼🔧

Rollerski ferrules take a beating with every kilometer of training. When it's time for a replacement, the good news is: you can do it yourself at home.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝: 🔧 Hot air gun or hairdryer 🔧 Pliers 🔧 Sandpaper (grade 600) 🔧 Hot melt glue 🔧 Work gloves

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏 - 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞:
✔️ Warm up the shaft end with a hairdryer (max. 60°C)
✔️ Pull the old ferrule off with pliers
✔️ Sand off any leftover glue and clean the shaft

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐 - 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
✔️ Measure your shaft diameter at the very bottom and a few cm above
✔️ Match these measurements to the inner diameter (ID) of the new ferrule
✔️ All our ferrules come with cross-section drawings for easy matching

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑 - 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞:
✔️ Room temperature must be above 21°C
✔️ Warm up the ferrule slightly with a hairdryer
✔️ Apply hot melt glue inside the ferrule if needed
✔️ Push the shaft firmly all the way to the bottom of the ferrule - no empty space!

💡 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐩: Make sure the shaft reaches the very bottom of the ferrule - any empty space can cause breakage during training.
