We are pleased to welcome Mislav Mataija as one of the featured speakers at this year’s Ljubljana Sports Law Conference.

Mislav is a member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, where he advises on EU internal market law. Throughout his distinguished career, he has represented the European Commission in around 100 cases before the European Court of Justice and the General Court, and litigated approximately 30 disputes before the World Trade Organization on behalf of the European Union.

Looking forward to welcoming Mislav to Ljubljana for an outstanding discussion on competition law, EU law and the future of sport governance in Europe.

One of the leading names in European sports law, Jacopo has served as a CAS arbitrator since 2007, handling more than 160 international cases, with extensive experience in football and anti-doping disputes. He has also been appointed to CAS ad hoc divisions during FIFA World Cups and UEFA EURO 2020.

Alongside his work in arbitration and sports governance, he lectures at the University of Padova and plays an important role within UEFA educational programmes.

Based in Milan and serving as Head of Football at Deloitte Legal, Andrea advises across the full spectrum of national and international sports law, with particular expertise in football regulation and European competition law.
His experience includes governance and regulatory matters, transfer and employment agreements, commercial contracts, and disputes involving clubs, players and FIFA agents.
Andrea is also a member of the Executive Committee of AIAF, an adjunct professor at IE Law School and a recognised Thought Leader in Lexology’s Sports & Gaming directory.
Looking forward to welcoming Andrea to Ljubljana for what promises to be another excellent discussion on the evolving legal landscape of international football.
