❓What's with the photo resolution❓Yes we knew you'd ask that. But look at the date. 1973 - a nostalgic look back when Škofja Loka hosted the first international youth ski competition – Pokal Loka. ⛷️Fifty years have passed, but the passion for skiing remains!
Back then, we checked snow conditions on the radio, strapped on our skis, and hopped on a bus. 🚌 Today, weather apps and webcams guide us, but the skiing tradition lives on!❄️
For Pokal Loka's 50th birthday 🎂 we prepared an exhibition that captures the last decade of Pokal Loka through powerful images – no captions, just memories that speak for themselves. 📸 A tribute to ski enthusiasts and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who keeps this legendary event alive!❤️

For half a century, Pokal Loka has been a proving ground for young ski racers, with over 15,000 competitors from 40+ countries carving their paths to greatness! 🌍⛷️
Legends like Lindsey Vonn, Petra Vlhová, Henrik Kristoffersen, and Žan Kranjec once raced here before claiming World Cup and Olympic glory. Over the years, we’ve witnessed incredible races in all weather conditions, from sunshine☀️ to heavy snow- (and rain)fall☔️, creating unforgettable moments and lifelong memories. ⛷️
But Pokal Loka is more than just a race! 🏁✨ This year, we’re bringing a few exciting additional events alongside the competition—stay tuned for the announcements coming soon! 📢
