All of us from Prievidza airfield are counting down the days as exactly 18 days left until welcoming you all at the EGC Opening ceremony. Although we are looking forward to seeing you during the Unofficial/Official training already. Get your glider ready-set-GO!

Hello friends,
We are delighted to announce that the new asphalt runway at Prievidza airfield has been completed and is now open. Construction works started in August 2018 and finished in March 2019. Runway is 949 meters long and 23 meters wide, equipped with runway lights and integrated drain system.
Runway is embedded into terrain allowing smooth transition to grass terrain. Asphalt terrain is optimal for safe takeoffs of even heavy gliders. New runway in Prievidza is simply glider friendly 🙂
