Sierra Leone Debating Council IPAM Chapter SLDC IPAM Chapter is a youth empowerment organization at IPAM which is aimed at training IPAM students to speak without Fear or Prejudice but with Ethics.

The Sierra Leone debating council is a platform for student to say their views in a well constructive, academic and responsible manner. The SLDC is an organisation of university/tertiary student debaters across the country. This organisation geared on training and exposing students in adopting international debate standards and norms. The SLDC is a platform for student debaters to engage in constructive arguments and criticisms on issues at national and international levels. The council helps in identifying talents, advancing skill, techniques and moral codes of 21st century debating. The Sierra Leone debating council IPAM chapter was launched on the 31st march 2016 as a legal body/ council within the IPAM campus. SLDC IPAM chapter was launched and handover to Mr James Bernard Turay who happened to be the first and current president of the Chapter, he is passionate and enthusiastically working to see the dream of SLDC become true at IPAM. Moreover he believes in the power of team work, because team work makes him great and successful.
