The National Scrabble Association of Sierra Leone (NSASL) this joined the National Sports Authority, Ministry Of Sports and other sporting associations to celebrate the *International Day of Sports themed "for Development and Peace"* .
The NSASL honoured the call by the Ministry of Sport and the National Sports Authority (NSA) to show solidarity to promote peace and development.
We were able to demonstrate the game of Scrabble in front of the Minister Of Sports Ibrahim Nylekeh and host of dignitaries present to celebrate the day.
While we were demonstrating the game to onlookers, many were in awe and some even expressed interest in learning the game of Scrabble... Among those that showed interest were three young girls who confessed that they didn't really know such a game that combines education and fun really does exist and that they'll want to learn and understand this game.
