In response to the approval of the Southern Arena by CAF to host the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, the CEO and owner of the 6,000-seater stadium Babadi Kamara said,

“Seeing both the Men’s and Women’s Champions League, and as well as the Confederation Cup qualifiers being played at the Southern Arena is a big plus for the development of the game in the country among others, I built this facility as my token of support towards the development of football in Sierra Leone, and my biggest joy behind constructing this facility will always be, watching the Sierra Leone national teams including Leone Stars play competitive CAF and FIFA matches on turf of the Southern Arena”

The Chairman of BO Rangers FC, Babadi Kamara, kicked off the Inter Community Ramadan Trophy tournament at the Kingtom Field with great excitement and anticipation.

The tournament promises to be a thrilling competition between twelve teams from different communities, all vying for the prestigious trophy.

The first place winner will receive a grand prize of 25,000Nle, a new set of jerseys and footballs.

The second placed team will walk away with 15,000Nle, new set of jerseys, and footballs, while the third placed team will be awarded 10,000Nle.

The atmosphere at the Kingtom Field was electrifying as the opening match saw Kingtom Community vs Kroo Bay Community.

Chairman Babadi Kamara expressed his gratitude to all the teams for their participation and wished them the best of luck in the upcoming matches.

He emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and unity in bringing communities together, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

As the competition progresses, the teams will demonstrate their abilities and tenacity in hopes of winning the title of champions.

The Executive Chairman of Bo Rangers and one of the expected candidates for the next SLFA election, Babadi Kamara, has donated artificial turf pellets to FC Kallon for the construction of Angola Field.

He was appreciated by CEO Mohamed Kallon and the rest of the executives of FC Kallon for this massive gesture!
