Sierra Leone Canoe Federation (SLCF) is proud to officially announce the launch of its Inaugural National Canoe Championship, set to take place on April 27, 2026, at the Sea Coach Express facilities, Aberdeen Freetown.
This landmark event will bring together talented athletes from 16 coastal communities, including Tombo, Bureh, Mama Beach, Sussex, Lumley, Aberdeen, and Tokeh, competing across exciting sprint categories:
🚣‍♂️ Single Canoe
🚣‍♂️ Two-Person Canoe
🚣‍♂️ Five-Person Canoe
🐉 10-Person Dragon Canoe
Under the leadership of President Abdul Karim Koroma and the dedicated executive team, this championship marks a bold step toward professionalizing canoe sports and expanding its national recognition.
The Executive Association warmly invites all sports enthusiasts, stakeholders, and the general public to come out and witness this historic sporting milestone. Your support will help grow aquatic sports and empower local talent across Sierra Leone.
