A cross-section of players from TKBAR Academy and Tommy’s Professional have departed for Makeni as preparations intensify ahead of the final fixtures against Supreme FC.
The journey marks a crucial stage in the campaign, particularly for Tommy’s Professional, who are set to feature in their final NERFA Bombali District Division One Playoffs fixtures. A cross-section of players from TKBAR Academy and Tommy’s Professional Division 1 side took part in an intense beach workout session at Banda Wharf, Lungi, this morning.
The session focused on strength, endurance, agility, and mental toughness, with the natural resistance of the sand providing a demanding but effective training environment. Players were put through structured drills designed to improve balance, stamina, and overall physical conditioning.
Beach workouts like this form a key part of the development philosophy at TKBAR Academy, helping players build resilience while breaking away from routine pitch sessions. The unity and commitment displayed throughout the session reflected the high standards and discipline expected from both the academy and professional setup.
As preparations continue, sessions like these underline the academy’s commitment to holistic player development, physically, mentally, and tactically.

The Troopers stepped out of their routine training schedule this morning to embark on a refreshing community tour around the Makama Community. Coming off an intense, hardworking week, the players took this opportunity to lighten their minds, strengthen team bonds, and connect more deeply with the environment they called home during their stay at the academy house.
The tour provided a perfect blend of relaxation and reflection as the boys walked through the community, interacted with locals, and observed the vibrant day-to-day life of Makama. These moments outside the pitch play an important role in shaping their character, discipline, and sense of responsibility values that define the TKBAR Academy philosophy.
According to the technical staff, the initiative aims to help players develop a broader understanding of community life, appreciate their surroundings, and stay mentally refreshed for the challenges ahead. It also strengthens unity within the squad, especially during demanding training periods.
As the journey to greatness continues, activities like these remind our players that growth isn’t only built on the pitch it is also shaped by experience, humility, and community connection.
Fitness First.
Another day at TKBAR.
