The Gbonkolenke ladies struggled to establish control against a disciplined Smart side from Bombali district. This victory represents a notable assurance for the visitors who are competing in their very first season in the regional top flight.
Their positive start yielded fruit in the 32nd minute, when Adama M. Koroma capitalized on an scrambled play to score the match’s first goal. Eight minutes later in the 40th minute, Messie Turay doubled the advantage of providing her side with a comfortable lead and a psychological edge for the remainder of the match.

Suba United delivered a commanding performance to open the 2026 North-East Region Football Association (NERFA) Female Division One League, defeating Tonkolili Queens 4–1 at the Magburaka playing field.
The visitors from Makeni established early dominance effectively neutralizing the home side with clinical finishing and tactical ex*****on. The scoring opened in the 12th minute through Ferreh Kamara, followed shortly by a 22nd-minute strike from Mariama Kenneh.
