United Nations Support Office in Somalia - UNSOS conducted a two-day workshop to strengthen the capacity of Federal Government of Somalia customs officials overseeing bulk petroleum imports.
Eight officials from Ministry of Finance - Somalia enhanced their skills in fuel verification, volume measurement, and safety and quality assurance protocols.
Facilitated by United Nations Support Office in Somalia - UNSOS Chief of Life Support Babacar Diop, the training supports national capacity and revenue collection efforts and strengthens fuel management systems across Somalia.
UNSOS continues to support efforts to strengthen national systems and improve fuel management in Somalia.

🇪🇺🇸🇴🇺🇳 Yesterday in Mogadishu, the European External Action Service - EEAS and the European Commission's Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) delegation met the United Nations Support Office in Somalia - UNSOS for a strategic briefing session on the UN Mission’s operations & non-lethal logistical support to the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia-AUSSOM .
Discussions focused on EU–UNSOS coordination, identifying opportunities for synergies & ensuring complementarity to maximise impact in support of Somalia’s security transition.
