Isuzuchallenge

ISUZU D-max Challenges starting in Paramaribo, Surinam The goal of ISUZU Challenges is to organise and execute off- and on-road adventures.

Star of the show is the ISUZU D-Max pick-up. The challenges will explore all famous landmarks and famous roads in South-America with starting point Paramaribo. Although being named an "adventure", all trips are well planned beforehand. Not every trip will end in Paramaribo. In some cases the challenges will end in another city from where the cars will be shipped back.

October 2016 initiative:
Short trip through Pakairama mountains (Guyana), Rupununi savannah (Guyana). May be extended to Roirama, the Gran Sabana and Angel Falls (Venezuela).

Next October an alternative and shortened challenge will be undertaken partly as a scouting-trip for new challenges.
After the start in Paramaribo the first real stop will be in Manaus (Brazil) with the usual stop-overs in Suarama and Lethem (Guyana).

In Manaus we will explore the rivers for a few days with a famous biologist. This guy will also accompany us for a trip afterwards into the Gran Sabana (Venezuela) and possibly Roroima mountains.

Together with the Rupununi Savannah in Guyana the Gran Sabana will be an amazing future challenge.

Unfortunately the Challenge will be postponed to 2016 !

One of the reasons is that the current political situation in the Cusco and La Paz area is uncertain. This might result in safety issues and road-blocks that would hamper the Challenge. Also as we might attract some attention this might result in higher risks.

Waiting for the situation to improve leaves us too little time to prepare the final details.

A shorter trip is now being prepared in the area between Paramaribo and Manaus.
