The South Sudan Football Federation is mourning the passing of long-serving football cadre Coach Sebit Kuek, who passed away yesterday at Juba Teaching Hospital.

Coach Sebit Kuek dedicated many years to the development of football in South Sudan and will be remembered for his commitment, service, and contribution to the growth of the game especially in the Kajok Football Association.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire football fraternity.

BFA to Host Festival Football Match to Welcome H.E. Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang Wuor. The Bentiu Football Association (BFA) is pleased to announce the organization of a Festival Football Match to officially welcome H.E. Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang Wuor, Governor of Unity State.

The event will take place at Bentiu Independent Stadium and will feature a friendly match between a combined team of Bentiu IDPs (BIDPs) and Bentiu Town players. This symbolic match aims to bring together communities in a spirit of unity, peace, and shared purpose.

The initiative underscores the commitment of BFA to using sports as a powerful tool to promote social cohesion, peacebuilding, and community and integration across Unity State.

El Merriekh Through to Semi-Finals After Late Winner Against Jamus FC

El Merriekh have booked their place in the semi-finals of the South Sudan Cup after a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Jamus FC in the quarter-final clash.

The decisive moment came deep into stoppage time, when Chikdi Koang struck in the 97th minute to seal a dramatic win for the Bentiu-based side.
After a tightly contested match with few clear chances, it looked destined for added time before Chikde’s late heroics sent El Merriekh through.

El Merriekh will now face the winner of tomorrow’s quarter-final showdown between Gurei City and Al Hilal SC Wau.
