On my birthday, I want to speak to every young person who feels tired, broken, or close to giving up.
Life will test you in ways that make you question your worth and your future. There will be days when progress feels invisible and pain feels permanent. But here is wisdom to hold onto: your struggle is not a sentence, it is a season. Storms do not come to destroy you; they come to reveal the strength you didn’t know you had. As long as you are breathing, your story is still being written. Do not quit—God is not done with you yet.

As the year comes to an end, I recognize it as a blessing. Despite all the challenges, this ending is proof that survival itself is victory, and that grace has carried us through. I thank God for another year added to my life—another year of lessons, growth, and uncountable blessings.

I extend my deepest gratitude to H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, for the honor and trust bestowed upon me through my promotion to the rank of Captain. This milestone is both a responsibility and a reminder that perseverance is always rewarded in time.

I thank my wife, the pillar of my life, who stood with me when the lights were off and the road was unclear. Your love, patience, and unwavering belief in me carried me through moments I could not carry myself.

I thank my family for being my foundation, my strength, and my constant reminder of who I am and where I come from.

And to my genius friends, those who never stopped supporting me during my darkest days, your loyalty, wisdom, and encouragement kept me alive in hope.

The journey has been crazy for those who known my military history, but today stands as proof that resilience, faith, and consistency always speak louder than doubt. I move forward with gratitude, humility, and courage knowing the best is still ahead.
