FUTURE STARS MD SAM SURUR DANTES APPOINTED SOUTH SUDAN U-20 & U-23 TEAM MANAGER

Future Stars Football Academy (FSFA) Managing Director Sam Surur Dantes has been appointed as Team Manager of the South Sudan U-20 and U-23 National Teams, marking another significant milestone in his football administration career.

The appointment sees Dantes take on an important role within the national-team setup, where he will contribute to the coordination and management of the country's youth national teams.

His new responsibilities come at an important period for South Sudanese youth football, with the South Sudan U-20 team preparing for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers – CECAFA Zone, scheduled to take place from 16 September to 10 October 2026.

At Future Stars Football Academy, Dantes has played a key role in building the academy's football development structure and creating pathways for young players to progress from grassroots football to elite and national-team levels.

His appointment further strengthens FSFA's connection with the development of South Sudan's next generation of football talent.

🇸🇸🌟 EIGHT FUTURE STARS PLAYERS NAMED IN SOUTH SUDAN U-20 PROVISIONAL SQUAD

Future Stars Football Academy is proud to announce that seven of our players have been included in the 58-player provisional squad for the South Sudan U-20 National Team, announced today, Friday, 28 August 2026, by head coach John Alier.

The provisional squad is part of preparations for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers – CECAFA Zone, scheduled to take place from 16 September to 10 October 2026.

The seven Future Stars players selected are:

Daniel Simbe — Goalkeeper
Samuel Duku — Goalkeeper
Emmanuel Rendento — Right-back
Samuel Redento — Centre-back
Justin Wilson — Right-back
Luis Peter — Midfielder
Rawede Maliah — Midfielder
Ronaldo Daniel — Midfielder

The selection represents another important milestone in the academy's commitment to developing young South Sudanese footballers and preparing them for the highest levels of the game.

With eight Future Stars players now represented in the provisional list, the academy's pathway from youth development to national-team football continues to gain momentum.

The 58-player list will undergo a final review before the official squad for the CECAFA U-20 qualifiers is confirmed.

COACHING EXCELLENCE | KAYANGA JOHN MAKES PREMIER LEAGUE DEBUT

A proud moment for Future Stars Football Academy as our coach Kayanga John made his historic debut in the South Sudan Premier League.

Holding a CAF D Diploma, Coach Kayanga led Munuki SC in a highly competitive opening fixture against defending champions El Merriekh SC, coached by CAF A Licence holder Claude Lobok.

Munuki SC pushed the champions to the limit and delivered a disciplined, competitive performance before conceding a late goal in a 2-2 draw.

Coach Kayanga’s Premier League debut is another important milestone in his coaching journey and a reflection of the development and opportunities provided through Future Stars Football Academy.

Mario Albano Rewards Future Stars U12 Young Stars After CECAFA Heroics

JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN — Jamus SC attacking midfielder Mario Albano has fulfilled his promise to three young players from Future Stars Football Academy by delivering football boots to Fofona, Johnny and Gasim.

Mario, a graduate of Future Stars Football Academy, played a key role in Jamus SC’s historic run at the 2026 CECAFA Club Championship in Kigali, Rwanda. The attacking midfielder scored two goals and provided an assist as Jamus finished fourth in the tournament.

During the campaign, the Future Stars U12 young stars followed Mario and Jamus closely, celebrating his memorable late strike against defending champions Singida Black Stars.

The boys even sent Mario a video message congratulating him on the goal and victory while wishing Jamus success in their pursuit of the trophy.

Although Jamus’ historic campaign ended in the semi-finals, Mario did not forget his young supporters back home.

He delivered the promised football boots during Future Stars’ Saturday training session, handing them over to Fofona and Johnny.

Future Stars Managing Director Sam Surur Dantes received the third pair on behalf of Gasim, who missed the training session.

Mario’s gesture reflects the strong connection between the Future Stars graduate and the academy’s young players, who continue to look up to him as an example of what they can achieve through football.

FSFA Coaches Earn South Sudan National Team Appointments

JUBA, South Sudan — 20 August 2026: Future Stars Football Academy (FSFA) has welcomed the appointment of four members of its coaching and technical staff to roles within the South Sudan national teams.

The appointments were confirmed by the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) Executive Committee during its Extraordinary Meeting No. 003 of 2026, held on Wednesday, 19 August, at the SSFF headquarters in Juba.

FSFA Technical Director Bilal Felix has been appointed First Assistant Coach of the Men’s Senior National Team, marking a significant step in his coaching career at the international level.

Esther Kute (Peace), who serves as a coach at FSFA, has been appointed Performance Analyst of the Men’s Senior National Team. Her new role will see her join the senior national team’s technical setup while continuing her contribution to the development of young players at the academy.

At U-20 level, FSFA Fitness Coach Jacob Monday (Bastawi) has been appointed Fitness Coach of the Men’s U-20 National Team, while Goalkeeper Coach Sebit Angelo takes up the role of Goalkeeper Coach with the junior national side.

The appointments represent a strong recognition of the quality and experience within FSFA’s technical department and further underline the academy’s growing contribution to South Sudanese football.

For FSFA, the appointments are also a reflection of its broader mission to develop not only talented players but also coaches and technical professionals capable of serving football at the highest level.

🏆⚽ FROM FUTURE STARS TO SOUTH SUDAN SUPER CUP GLORY

The South Sudan Super Cup final was another proud moment for Future Stars Football Academy, as the academy’s football family was represented on both sides of the final.

Three FSFA graduates were part of the El Merriekh SC Bentiu squad: Benso Joseph and Ajo Minari were named on the bench, while George Maliah was not included in the matchday squad.

On the champions’ side, Alberto Simon Pitia, an FSFA goalkeeper graduate, started between the posts for Al-Ghazala Wau, helping his team secure a 1–0 victory and lift the South Sudan Super Cup.

Adding to the special occasion, Rizik A. Hakim, a former FSFA coach, guided Al-Ghazala Wau to the trophy in his first game in charge.

For FSFA, this is bigger than one final.

It is a reflection of the academy’s mission: developing young footballers, giving them the foundation to progress into senior football, and building coaches who can also grow within the game.
