🏌️♂️⛳ The Links Golf Society at Silky Oak – No Rain, Plenty of Pain! ⛳🏌️♂️
A small contingent of Links golfers headed up the highway to Silky Oak today, where threatening skies suggested a wet and miserable day. Fortunately, despite the gloomy forecast, not a single drop of rain fell, leaving the boys free to battle one of the valley's most challenging layouts. 🌥️💨
The famous Eagles Nest is now sitting at a juicy $5,620 for a near-pin by an A, B or C grader, but once again it survived another day! 💰🦅
🏆 Results 🥇 Werner "The Bomber" Leten – 43 points ( say goodbye to 2 shots next week)
🥈 Graham "The Priest" Priest (13) – 35 points ever consistant
🥉 Ron "The destroyerof golf clubs" Moersker (22) – 28 points, winning on countback
4️⃣ David Hughes (36) – 28 points, unlucky to lose on countback
Congratulations to Werner, who bombed his way to victory, while Graham continued spreading golfing sermons around the course.
Ron managed to keep enough clubs intact to claim third place, and David was left wondering what might have been after the countback decision. 😆
Another enjoyable day for the Lynx crew, with good company, challenging golf, and weather that threatened much more than it delivered.

🏌️♂️🚗⛳ The Links Golf Society Heads to Silky Oak!
⛳🚗🏌️♂️
A small but determined Links crew made the trip up the highway to Silky Oak layout today, ready to take on one of the most challenging courses in the Barcelona Valley. While often regarded as the lesser of the valley's three layouts, Silky Oak has a nasty habit of biting back when you least expect it! 😅🌳
💰🦅 The big attraction today is the Eagles Nest, which has now climbed to an impressive ฿5,580! Open to A, B, and C graders, one well-struck shot could see a lucky golfer walking away with the cash. 🎯💵
🌤️ Conditions at the start were near perfect, with pleasant temperatures, a light breeze 🍃, and the course looking in fine shape. Everything was set for a great day of golf and, hopefully, some impressive scoring.
🍀 Good luck to all the boys today! May your drives find the fairway 🚀, your irons find the green 🎯, and your putter finally behave itself! 😂⛳
🏌️♂️ 🌳 🦅 🎯 🇹🇭 ⛳ 🌿 🍀🏆🍻

🏌️♂️⛳ TREASURE HILLS TAKES NO PRISONERS! ⛳🏌️♂️
The Links crew headed up to Treasure Hills on Wednesday, greeted by a course in absolutely pristine condition. The fairways were lush, the greens were lightning smooth, and the weather was perfect. Sadly, the scorecards looked like the players had spent the day gardening instead of golfing. 😂
🥇 Grant Pride (H/C 7) somehow emerged from the wreckage with 30 points to claim first place. Not exactly a scoring masterclass, but enough to get the job done
🥈 Kai Shea (H/C 16) finished just one point behind on 29 points after proving that every shot counts... especially the lucky ones. 🍀
🥉 Andy Munro (H/C 10) grabbed third with 28 points, despite several heated discussions with bunkers, trees and the occasional fairway. 🌳😆
🎯 Near Pin: Grant Pride 🦅 Eagle's Nest: Not won!
The elusive eagle remained safely hidden in its nest, meaning the jackpot now rolls over to a juicy 💰 5,240 baht + next week's player contributions. The eagle is now becoming more mythical than real. 🤣
📅 Next Game: Friday at Silk Oak
🕙 Tee Time: 10:00 a.m.
🚌 Bus Departs: 8:30 a.m. 💵 Cost: 2,150 baht
As always, there were plenty of lost balls, miracle recoveries, suspect scorekeeping, creative excuses and enough stories to last until Friday's round.
🏌️♂️ ⛳ 😎 🎯 🦅 🤦♂️ 😂 🇹🇭 😉

The golf links society golf day at pattavia.
Probably the most comfortable day of the summer golf season greeted the Links golfers At Pattavia Resort today, with a pleasant 27 degrees, a light breeze and only the slightest hint of rain. In short, perfect golfing conditions
Nine players teed it up, and the standout performance of the day came from Green Jacket winner Bob ( the doctor ) Watson. Playing off 8, Bob compiled an outstanding 38 points despite recording three three-putts during his round.
Second place went to Graham Priest from our sister club in South Australia. Playing off 13, Graham returned an excellent 36 points.
The ever-consistent Rod Knight claimed third place with 34 points off his handicap of 8, while Grant Pride finished fourth with 33 points playing off 7.
The nearest-the-pin prize was won by Roy Holland, the new coaching professional from Golf Hub. Roy has recently joined the links golf society group and was welcomed by the members today.
While he claimed the near pin, he unfortunately followed it up with a three-putt.
Roy is now coaching out of the Golf Hub, and we look forward to seeing plenty more of him on the course.
Wednesday's game will be at Treasure Hill. Tee-off is at 10:00 am, with the bus departing at 8:30 am.
The pleasant 27°C temperatures and light winds certainly sound like ideal scoring conditions, and the results reflected it.

🏌️♂️ Links Golf Society – Pattavia Golf Day 🏌️♂️
Nine starters teed it up today at Pattavia Golf Course under pleasant overcast skies.
With temperatures much cooler than usual and not a hint of extreme heat, conditions were ideal for golf. The comfortable weather and well-presented course made for an enjoyable day as the Links members battled it out around one of the region’s most challenging layouts.
Good golfing conditions, good company, and another great day with the Links Golf Society.
⛳ Good luck to all players and we look forward to today’s Green Jacket winner
This week's Members' Badge Draw at the Links Hotel produced number 51, belonging to Mark Speirings
Unfortunately, Mark was not in the hotel at the time of the draw and was therefore unable to claim the prize.
As a result, next week's Members' Badge Draw jackpot will increase to $3,200.
Remember, members must be present in the hotel at the time of the draw to be eligible to claim the prize.

🏌️♂️ Links Golf Society – Greenwood Golf Course 🏌️♂️
The Links crew headed up the highway today for their regular Friday golfing fix at the ever-improving Greenwood Golf Course.
The conditions were anything but easy, with strong winds making the course play exceptionally long. All four par-3s were into the breeze and stretched close to 200 yards, testing every golfer’s skill, patience, and club selection. Despite the challenge, the course was presented in outstanding condition and received plenty of praise from the group.
🏆 Today’s Results
🥇 Green Jacket Winner – Werner “The Bomber” Leten (H’cap 23) fired an excellent 36 points to claim first place and ownership of the Links Hotel for the week.
🥈 Second Place – Stuart Darbyshire from Ellesmere Golf Club, England, playing off 10, finished with 33 points. A great round unfortunately ended with a horror story on the final hole!
🥉 Third Place – Ron Knight (H’cap 😎 secured third with 30 points, winning on countback from Grant Pride (H’cap 7), who also finished on 30 points.
🎯 Near Pin Winner – Ron Knight, who finished just outside the Eagle’s Nest.
🦅 Eagle’s Nest Jackpot
No winner today, which means the Eagle’s Nest rolls over to next week’s event. The prize pool now stands at a very tempting 5,320 Baht for the first golfer to finish closest to the hole.
A fantastic day was enjoyed by all, and the Links golfers are already looking forward to their next visit to Greenwood Golf Course.
