If you’re lucky enough to meet a whale shark on Koh Tao, remember you’re entering their space.

Give them room.
Minimum 3 m distance.
Stay at least 4 m from the tail.
Never touch, chase or block their path.
Let the shark set the pace of the encounter.

Whale sharks are the largest fish in the ocean, yet they feed mainly by filtering tiny organisms from the water.

Seeing one is never guaranteed. That’s what makes the moment that silhouette appears in the blue so special.

The SSI XR Cavern course is focused on building the technical skills and methods needed for diving in an overhead environment.

You’ll train precise buoyancy and trim, specialized propulsion techniques, guideline use, team positioning and communication, gas management, light procedures and emergency protocols.

The focus is not simply entering a cavern. It’s learning to stay controlled, efficient and aware when direct access to the surface is no longer available.

Your ticket to the underwater world starts here 👌🏾

Our SSI Open Water Diver course takes just 3 days and qualifies you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

Once you sign up, we’ll send you the online learning materials so you can complete the theory before you arrive. That means less time studying during your holiday and more time doing the best part: diving.

Over the three days, you’ll combine theory with shallow-water confined skills and four open-water dives. You’ll learn the essential skills, safety procedures and techniques you need to become a confident, independent certified diver.

Think of it as your driver’s licence to the underwater world.

3 days. 4 open-water dives. Maximum depth 18 metres. One certification that opens up a whole new world.

If you’re going to learn wreck diving, why stop at the outside? ⚓️

SSI offers both Wreck Diving and Advanced Wreck training. At Koh Tao Divers, we often recommend Advanced Wreck for divers who meet the prerequisites and want to get more from their training.

Advanced Wreck takes you beyond exploring the exterior of a wreck and introduces you to limited pe*******on and the completely different considerations that come with entering an overhead environment.
This is also where our experience comes into play.

Wrecks, caves, mines and overhead environments are a big part of what we do. Our instructors bring real-world experience from diving, exploration and expeditions into the way we teach.

For us, it’s not about collecting another certification. It’s about building real skills, better awareness and a strong foundation that you can continue developing as a diver.
