You see just a simple two-foot jump… I see a lack of control ⚠️
Hello everyone I am Proshina Victoria 3 times world champion and coach with education in both sport coaching and sport psychology.

When a skater jumps up from two feet and the feet look “loose” in the air — it often shows weak ankle and foot stability.
But the bigger red flag is what happens on the landing.

If the toes and knees turn inward, it’s a sign of poor alignment and lack of control through the whole leg — from hip to knee to ankle.

This is not just a “small technical detail.”
It’s a movement pattern that shows instability in the body’s foundation.

Why does it matter?
Because over time, this kind of landing increases the risk of ankle sprains, knee stress, and reinforces unsafe technique under pressure.

A clean jump is not only about height — it’s about control in the air and correct alignment on landing.

If you want heathy future for your kids join our online lesson where we will test and then create training plan which is suits your / your kids needs.

Strong basics = safe progress ✨

For me, sport is first and foremost about life skills.
It teaches you how to work towards a goal, how to keep going when it’s hard, how not to give up — and how to truly believe in yourself ✨

That’s why I believe a coach is so much more than someone who just teaches an axel or a jump.
A coach is a mentor — someone who directly influences your child, their mindset, their confidence, and the way they approach challenges in life.

In our school, we focus not only on technique, but on building strong, confident, and resilient athletes 💫
Because what they learn here will stay with them far beyond the ice.
Thank you for such stunning shots — pure inspiration in every frame ✨

Want to sit lower in your sit spin? 🧊⛸️

If you’ve been struggling to get lower, feel more stable, or hold the position properly — you’re not alone. This is one of the most common challenges I see in skaters at all levels.

I’m Victoria Proshina — a 3-time world champion and a coach with a degree in coaching and sports psychology, and for years I’ve been helping skaters improve their technique, strength, and control both on and off the ice.
The good news — this can be improved with the right approach.
💬 Comment “sit spin” and I’ll send you exercises to help you get lower and more stable in your spin.
Train smarter, not harder 💫

Working as a coach, I realized that teaching kids figure skating elements is only a small part of what really matters.
I am Proshina Victoria 3-time World Champion and coach with education in both sport coaching and sport psychology.
For me it’s just as important to teach them something bigger — mindset.
Sport is not only about medals.
Sport teaches children how to work, how to be disciplined, how to believe in themselves and — most importantly — how not to be afraid of failure.
Because falling, making mistakes and trying again is the only way to grow.
And sometimes the most valuable thing we can teach kids is simple:
You always have another try.
That’s exactly what we work on in my online school —
not only better skating, but stronger athletes and stronger personalities.

For those who know that figure skating is more than just a hobby…
Hello everyone I am Proshina Victoria 3 times world champion and coach with education in both sport coaching and sport psychology.

For those who want to grow, improve, and actually understand what they’re doing — not just “go through the motions”.
We’ve created online lessons designed to support skaters on a deeper level:
✨ technique
✨ body control
✨ strength & coordination
✨ jump preparation and stability
These are not random workouts — they are structured, professional sessions used by high-level coaches and built for real progress.
If you’re serious about your skating and want to see real results — this is for you.
Train smarter. Move better. Skate stronger. 💫

What people don’t see about being an athlete + student…
I went to a strong academic (non-sports) school, and until around the age of 10 I wasn’t only figure skating — I was also doing gymnastics, dance, swimming, piano… and more.
I’ve always believed that sport can come and go, but life continues. And at some point, you will need something to rely on beyond it.
That’s why finding a balance between school and skating was always important for me.
I know many kids either follow a system like mine — study well, get top grades, and earn flexibility — or switch to homeschooling, which is also a valid path.
But in any case, it’s important to remember: there is life after sport. And having an education gives you freedom in that life.
At the same time, sports like figure skating, gymnastics, and dance — highly complex and coordination-based — actually develop the brain in an incredible way. They strengthen connections between hemispheres, improve reaction, creativity, and the ability to learn quickly.
Very often, kids in sport can understand and absorb school material faster — if they learn how to use it.
Balance is not easy. But it’s possible. And it’s worth it. ✨

What’s wrong with this Axel — and why will it lead to falls on the ice? ⛸️

The jump itself looks good.
But the problem is in the exit.

I’m Victoria Proshina — 3 times world champion and coach with education in both sport coaching and sports psychology.

You can clearly see that the rotation is not being stopped.
On the landing, the body keeps turning the legs are already on the ice, but the shoulders and upper body continue to rotate.

That’s why we see the athlete falling out of the landing.
The chest opens too much, the core loses control, and the body gets pulled backward.

This is exactly why “good jumps” often end in falls.
Not because of the takeoff —
but because there is no control on the exit.

If you don’t know how to stop your rotation,
you won’t be able to stabilize your jump. Ever.

For skaters who are just learning Axel or doubles, I always recommend starting the exit with the left arm (we’re really focusing on the shoulder).
This helps you control and stop the rotation first —
and only after that, open the arm to the side.

You must not only create rotation…
you must know how to finish it.

If you want to understand your jumps, fix mistakes, and finally feel in control —
join my online training groups 💫

And if this was helpful, leave a comment — I’ll do more breakdowns like this 🔥
