People often asked me what’s the difference between Yoga and Pilates.
In my experience(this is my personal opinion!), it’s not about yoga is stretching nor Pilates is core.
Yoga can build you tremendous strength and tone you up depending on how you practice and Pilates can help you lengthen the entire body and create beautiful and lean body line if that is your goal.
The main difference is:
Yoga’s focus is on observing YOU through the physical practice, so you can practice that off the mat. In that sense, everything can be yoga.
Pilates’ focus is on building the core to support the pratical and funtional movement, learning how to control your body.
Both are extremely helpful in our lives and I love both.
It is just that yoga is like a ‘first love’ for me😉
Anything is ok, Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Power yoga, Yin Yoga, love them ALL.
I don’t practice 1 hour daily yoga I used to(which is my new year resolution for 2026) anymore because I teach more hours, but every time I come on my mat, I feel genuine happiness and humbling.
And I really want everyone to experience this feeling! ❤️

I saw this beautiful and effortless “No Spring” tower flow from and wanted to try it. I did most parts ok then I couldn’t figure out how to lift back up at the end!
What helped me was when I first rolled down, I rolled back up and down(not going all the way down and back up) 3 times to imprint that movement in my body. Then, all of sudden, ta-da🤩
Try this! It was so freaking hard but fun!!
