🚩Thailand’s Bid for the Youth Olympic Games 2030🏆
The Thailand Equestrian Federation was honoured to welcome the delegation from the International Olympic Committee on April 29, 2026, as part of an official site visit to assess Thailand’s bid to host the 2030 Equestrian Youth Olympic Games.
Thailand is one of three candidate nations alongside Chile and Paraguay bidding to host the fifth edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games, with the final host nation set to be selected in June 2026. The visit marked an important milestone in the evaluation process, providing an opportunity for the IOC to gain first hand insight into Thailand’s capabilities and readiness.
During the visit, the delegation was presented with a comprehensive overview of Thailand’s equestrian infrastructure, including competition venues, training facilities, stabling, veterinary services, and athlete support systems. Particular emphasis was placed on international standard footing, horse welfare protocols, and logistical planning, all of which are critical to hosting a successful equestrian event at the Youth Olympic level.

The programme also highlighted Thailand’s proven track record in organising international competitions, the strength of its technical officials and workforce, and the country’s broader sporting infrastructure and hospitality. In addition, discussions covered transport connectivity, accommodation, climate management strategies, and legacy planning to ensure long-term benefits for equestrian sport development in the region.

The site visit was conducted by 12 IOC representatives, including Youth Olympic Games Chair Danka Hrbéková, alongside Tricia Smith, Filomena Fortes, Yuki Ota, Humphrey Kayange, Balázs Fürjes, Marcus Daniell, Mattias Kaestner, Pierre Dorsaz, Rachell Beacher, Manon Esposito, and Rodrigo D’Andrea Garcia.

The Federation remains committed to delivering a world-class event that reflects the highest standards of sport, organisation, and horse welfare, while showcasing Thailand’s potential as a leading host nation for major international sporting events.

🚩WOAH–IHSC Regional Follow-up Workshop on International Horse Movement and Equine Health, April 16th - 17th, 2026 | Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong SAR🌏
Dr. Prawit Butudom, Chair of the TEF Veterinary Committee, recently represented TEF at the WOAH–IHSC Regional Workshop, reinforcing the Federation’s commitment to advancing equine health and welfare standards.

Organised in collaboration with the World Organisation for Animal Health and the International Horse Sports Confederation, the workshop brought together veterinary authorities, regulators, and equestrian stakeholders from across Asia. It served as an important platform for strengthening regional coordination, sharing best practices, and aligning procedures related to the international movement of horses.

Key discussions focused on harmonising import and export protocols, quarantine procedures, vaccination requirements, and disease surveillance systems to ensure the safe and efficient cross-border transport of equine athletes. The workshop also addressed emerging challenges such as outbreak preparedness, certification processes, and the role of digital documentation in streamlining horse movement.

Thailand’s experience in hosting major events was highlighted, including valuable insights from previous Asian Championships and the Southeast Asian Games 2025. These case studies demonstrated the country’s capability in managing complex logistics while maintaining the highest standards of horse welfare and biosecurity.

วัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา เสด็จยังหน่วยม้าทรงประจำพระองค์ฯ กองพลทหารม้าที่ 2 รักษาพระองค์ฯ ทรงบำเพ็ญพระกุศลเนื่องในวันคล้ายวันสถาปนา หน่วยม้าทรงประจำพระองค์ฯ ครบปีที่ 26 โดยโอกาสนี้ เสด็จทรงเปิดโรงฝึกขี่ม้าหลังคาปิด "Furst Henry" อย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีพระกระแสรับสั่งให้สร้างขึ้น เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่ฝึกขี่ม้าที่ได้มาตรฐานสากล ซึ่งสามารถใช้งานได้ตลอดปี (ในทุกสภาพอากาศ) ที่เหมาะสมกับประเทศไทย รวมทั้ง เป็นสถานที่รองรับการจัดการแข่งขันกีฬาขี่ม้า และอบรมสัมมนา ทั้งในประเทศและระดับนานาชาติได้ สนามแห่งนี้ ประกอบด้วยส่วนต่าง ๆ ที่ออกแบบมาให้มีความเหมาะสมในการฝึกขี่ม้าตามมาตรฐานสหพันธ์กีฬาขี่ม้านานาชาติ (FEI) และใช้รับรองการแข่งขันกีฬาในระดับสากล เช่น ห้องควบคุมการแข่งขัน และพื้นสนามทราย (Footing) ที่ได้รับคำแนะนำและและดพเนินการทดสอบจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านพื้นสนามโดยเฉพาะ แล้ว

โดยในช่วงปลายปี 2569 นี้ สนามแห่งนี้จะได้ใช้จัดงานแข่งขันในระดับนานาชาติประจำปีอย่างรายการ Princess’s Cup Thailand ในระหว่างวันที่ 23-29 พฤศจิกายน 2569 อีกด้วย
