PTT Choose GETS Pro Exam

The GETS Pro Proficiency Exam was selected to assess the English proficiency levels of 2024 YP2G candidates in Thailand. This is the fourth year running the GETS exam was selected.

Young People to Globalization Program (YP2G) is a Human Resource development program that targets talented young personnel trained to work in PTT business ventures and development projects in Asia and worldwide.

The GETS English Proficiency Exam is the first proficiency level test to be independently verified by UK NARIC—the United Kingdom national agency to recognize and compare international qualifications.

According to the Association for Talent Development (ATD), a world-renowned human resource development organization, PTT’s YP2G program is a highly innovative program that has been cited in its member network of more than 120 member countries around the world.

Both pre-intermediate level and advanced intermediate courses were created.

The language topics employed cover a range of situations from describing the services of a library to talking about their job and describing their duties.

It includes a comprehensive library tour that shows the trainees how to present their various departments and services to new library patrons.

This is the third year Vantage Siam has run these specialized courses for Chulalongkorn.

Vantage’s corporate services recently completed training in the Business English Communications Courses I and II.

These courses have been specifically designed for professional staff who need to service international clients and meet their logistical needs in the medium of English.

The language topics employed covered a range of situations from describing their professional services to talking about their job and describing specific industrial requirements.

The Third Edition of the course segmented the materials to lower and higher intermediate levels of English proficiency.

The course material was designed around real-world business examples tailored to the logistics and transport industries.

Vantage recently concluded the “Library English Communications” course for library staff from the many libraries of Chulalongkorn University.

This was a customized English proficiency course. Bespoke language topics included “The Circulation Desk” and a “Library Tour.”

This course is unique in that it taught English within the context of what staff would encounter in their work at a university library.
