It is very difficult to express our pain in words. We are left bewildered at a fork in the road that has separated us from Stephan in the middle of our mutual journey. It feels like yesterday that he entered the door at our office with his white Viktor. For longer than a decade we have travelled together. A time full of adventure, enjoyment of life and extraordinary moments. It was far too short, but it was a particularly beautiful time we experienced together. Our shared memories will remain forever and are an ode to life.

Stephan was and remains our beloved friend, colleague and co-founder. We cherish his humorous, open and cheerful nature in order to look forward and continue the journey even in this situation. We are also comforted by the thought of how much he enjoyed life to the fullest. The numerous trips, celebrations and events we experienced with him remain unforgettable.

As Head of Design, Stephan had a decisive influence on the brand and managed to make Schindelhauer the benchmark for design-oriented urban bicycles in the industry. Stephan carried the Schindelhauer DNA like no other. This finely tuned compass with which he saw every detail exactly in front of him and was thus the important champion of design and aesthetics. We will never forget his commitment when working with colleagues and partners to bring them out of their shells and unlock their full potential.

We are deeply grateful for all the hours Stephan has spent sharing his creativity with us - even apart from Schindelhauer, his drawings and photography as well as his passion for music and street art have inspired and touched us.

Fate took him from life far too early. In deep mourning we say goodbye.

Dear Stephan, we carry you in our hearts and you are always with us in our thoughts.

It will come as standard lighting option on Arthur, our sleek E-Bike, which is ready to be shipped in December 2019 - as well as the LightSKIN handlebar with a road-legal, integrated front light 💡

Our Wilhelm P-Line is our flagship - a custom-made model assembled at request in our Berlin workshop.
The Pinion Drive Technology gearbox makes for an almost maintenance-free ride. The 18-speed version has a gear ratio ranging from below 1 to 5.3 - a gear for every situation.
