มาเลเซียรับไม้ต่อเจ้าภาพซีเกมส์ 2027 อย่างเป็นทางการ

ธงของสหพันธ์กีฬาซีเกมส์ (SEAGF) และธงการแข่งขันซีเกมส์ 2025 ถูกเชิญลงอย่างเป็นทางการ ก่อนส่งมอบให้แก่ ดร.เตาฟิก โจฮารี รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงเยาวชนและกีฬา มาเลเซีย และ ตัน ศรี นอร์ซา ซากาเรีย ประธานสภาโอลิมปิกมาเลเซีย (OCM) เพื่อเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการรับหน้าที่เจ้าภาพมหกรรมกีฬาซีเกมส์ครั้งต่อไป

ในฐานะเจ้าภาพครั้งถัดไป มาเลเซียยังร่วมสร้างสีสันในพิธีปิด ผ่านการแสดงชุด “Rhythm of Harmony” โดยศิลปินชื่อดัง มิมิ ฟลาย (Mimi Fly) พร้อมนักเต้นกว่า 60 คน ถ่ายทอดเอกลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมและความหลากหลายของประเทศมาเลเซีย สร้างความประทับใจให้กับผู้ชมอย่างงดงาม

สำหรับ กีฬาซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 34 มีกำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 18–29 กันยายน 2027 โดยใช้สนามแข่งขันในหลายรัฐ ได้แก่ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์, ซาราวัก, ปีนัง และยะโฮร์

การเป็นเจ้าภาพครั้งนี้ นับเป็น ครั้งที่ 7 ของมาเลเซีย และเป็นการกลับมารับหน้าที่อีกครั้งในรอบ 10 ปี หลังจากเคยจัดล่าสุดเมื่อปี 2017 ก่อนหน้านี้ มาเลเซียเคยเป็นเจ้าภาพซีเกมส์มาแล้วในปี 1965, 1971, 1977, 1989, 2001 และ 2017

ที่พิเศษยิ่งกว่านั้น ซีเกมส์ 2027 จะจัดขึ้นในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลอง ครบรอบ 70 ปี การประกาศเอกราชของประเทศมาเลเซีย ทำให้มหกรรมกีฬาครั้งนี้ถูกจับตามองในฐานะซีเกมส์แห่งประวัติศาสตร์อีกครั้งหนึ่งของภูมิภาคอาเซียน

Malaysia Officially Takes Over as Host of the 2027 SEA Games

The flags of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) and the 2025 SEA Games were formally lowered and handed over to Dr Taufiq Johari, Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, and Tan Sri Norza Zakaria, President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM), symbolising Malaysia’s official assumption of host duties for the next SEA Games.

As the next host nation, Malaysia also added colour to the closing ceremony with the cultural performance “Rhythm of Harmony”, featuring popular local artiste Mimi Fly alongside more than 60 dancers. The performance showcased Malaysia’s rich cultural identity and diversity, leaving a strong impression on spectators.

The 34th SEA Games are scheduled to take place from 18 to 29 September 2027, with events to be hosted across multiple states, including Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang, and Johor.

This will mark the seventh time Malaysia has hosted the SEA Games, and its return as host after a 10-year gap, having last staged the Games in 2017. Previously, Malaysia hosted the regional sporting event in 1965, 1971, 1977, 1989, 2001, and 2017.

Adding further significance, the 2027 SEA Games will coincide with the 70th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence, making the event one of historical importance for both the host nation and the Southeast Asian sporting community.

ซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 33 รูดม่านลงอย่างสมบูรณ์ ไทยจัดพิธีปิดประทับใจและตราตรึง อำลาการเป็นเจ้าภาพ พร้อมส่งธงให้มาเลเซีย เจ้าภาพครั้งที่ 34 จัดในปี 2027 โดยไทยประสบความสำเร็จจากการแข่งขัน หลังโกยสลุต 233 เหรียญทอง คว้าเจ้าซีเกมส์สมัยที่ 14 มากสุดกว่าชาติใด แถมยังทุบสถิติคว้าเหรียญทองมากสุดตลอดกาล ดีกว่าที่เวียดนาม เคยทำได้ 205 เหรียญทอง เมื่อปี 2022 ที่เวียดนามเป็นเจ้าภาพด้วย

การแข่งขันกีฬาซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 33 ซึ่งประเทศไทยได้รับเกียรติให้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 9-20 ธันวาคม 2568 ที่กรุงเทพฯ และ ชลบุรี เดินทางมาถึงวันสุดท้ายของการมหกรรมแล้ว โดยเมื่อวันที่ 20 ธันวาคม ที่ผ่านมา ไทยในฐานะเจ้าภาพ ได้จัดพิธีปิดการแข่งขัน ที่สนามราชมังคลากีฬาสถาน

บรรยากาศก่อนพิธีปิดจะมีขึ้นในช่วงค่ำนั้น มีแฟนกีฬาที่ลงทะเบียนออนไลน์ เพื่อจองตั๋วเข้าชม เดินทางมาถึงตั้งแต่ในช่วงบ่าย เพื่อร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่จัดขึ้นตามบูธรอบบริเวณสนามราชมังคลากีฬาสถาน ก่อนที่แฟนกีฬาจะเริ่มทยอยเข้าสู่ราชมังคลากีฬาสถานหลังประตูเปิดในช่วงเวลา 15.00 น. และเริ่มเข้าสู่พิธีในช่วงเวลา 19.00 น.

พิธีปิดได้รับเกียรติ จาก ร้อยเอก ธรรมนัส พรหมเผ่า รองนายกรัฐมนตรี เดินทางมาเป็นประธานในพิธีปิดพร้อมด้วย อรรถกร ศิริลัทธยากร รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา, ดร.ก้องศักด ยอดมณี ผู้ว่าการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย, ผศ.พิมล ศรีวิกรม์ ประธานคณะกรรมการโอลิมปิคแห่งประเทศไทย, นายกองเอก ชัยภักดิ์ ศิริวัฒน์ รองประธานสหพันธ์กีฬาเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารสหพันธ์กีฬาเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ รวมถึงคณะผู้บริหาร นักกีฬา เจ้าหน้าที่ จากชาติต่างๆ ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีปิดอย่างคับคั่ง

ในพิธีปิด เริ่มต้นด้วยการยืนสงบนิ่งถวายอาลัย แด่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ก่อนไทยจะจัดเต็ม แสง สี เสียง แบบตระการตาเพื่อส่งความประทับใจเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย ผ่านโชว์ ชุด “The Sound of Whistle…เสียงสะท้อนจากการแข่งขัน” ซึ่งได้ “ต้าห์อู๋” พิทยา แซ่ฉั่ว นักร้องนักแสดงหนุ่ม และ “กระแต อาร์สยาม” แตร บุญยะเลี้ยง นักร้องลูกทุ่งสาว มาร่วมสร้างสีสัน หลังจากนั้นขบวนพาเหรดทั้ง 54 ชนิดกีฬาได้เดินเข้าสู่สนาม หลังจากนั้น ร้อยเอก ธรรมนัส พรหมเผ่า รองนายกรัฐมนตรี จะขึ้นกล่าวรายงานสรุปภาพรวมของการแข่งขันตลอดทั้ง 2 สัปดาห์ ก่อนที่แฟนๆ ในราชมังคลากีฬาสถาน จะร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของพิธี ด้วยการเป่านกหวีดยาว ส่งสัญญาณสุดท้าย ก่อนที่คบเพลิงการแข่งขันจะดับลง

จากนั้น ผศ.พิมล ศรีวิกรม์ ประธานคณะกรรมการโอลิมปิคแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ไทย ได้ส่งมอบธงการแข่งขันซีเกมส์ต่อให้กับ นายกองเอก ชัยภักดิ์ ศิริวัฒน์ รองประธานสหพันธ์กีฬาเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารสหพันธ์กีฬาเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และส่งต่อไปยัง ดร. โมฮัมเหม็ด เตาฟิค บิน โจฮารี รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงเยาวชนและกีฬา ของมาเลเซีย ในฐานะเจ้าภาพกีฬาซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 34 เป็นตัวแทนของมาเลเซีย ในการรับธงจัดการแข่งขัน และโชว์การแสดงฉลองปิดการแข่งขัน ในชุด “The Sound of Champions…บทเพลงแห่งผู้ชนะ”

สำหรับศึกซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 33 ทัพนักกีฬาไทยกลับมาครองเจ้าเหรียญทองอีกครั้งในรอบ 10 ปี หรือตั้งแต่ได้ครั้งสุดท้ายเมื่อปี 2015 ที่สิงคโปร์ หลังโกยกระจุยกระจายถึง 233 เหรียญทอง 154 เหรียญเงิน 112 เหรียญทองแดง จากการชิงชัยทั้งสิ้น 573 อีเวนต์ คว้าเจ้าเหรียญทองสมัยที่ 14 ซึ่งนับว่าสูงที่สุดกว่าชาติใดๆ ในภูมิภาคอาเซียน และยังสร้างประวัติศาสตร์คว้าเหรียญทองสูงสุดตลอดกาลในซีเกมส์ แซงหน้าเวียดนาม ที่เคยทำไว้ 205 เหรียญทอง ในการจัดซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 31 เมื่อปี 2022

ส่วนอินโดนีเซีย จบอันดับ 2 คว้าไป 91 เหรียญทอง 111 เหรียญเงิน 131 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 3 เวียดนาม 87 เหรียญทอง 81 เหรียญเงิน 110 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 4 มาเลเซีย 57 เหรียญทอง 57 เหรียญเงิน 117 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 5 สิงคโปร์ 52 เหรียญทอง 61 เหรียญเงิน 89 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 6 ฟิลิปปินส์ 50 เหรียญทอง 73 เหรียญเงิน 154 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 7 เมียนมา 3 เหรียญทอง 21 เหรียญเงิน 49 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 8 สปป.ลาว 2 เหรียญทอง 9 เหรียญเงิน 28 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 9 บรูไน 1 เหรียญทอง 3 เหรียญเงิน 5 เหรียญทองแดง, อันดับ 10 ติมอร์-เลสเต 1 เหรียญเงิน 7 เหรียญทองแดง ด้าน กัมพูชา ไม่มีรางวัล เพราะประกาศถอนตัวไม่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ เนื่องจากกังวลเรื่องความไม่ปลอดภัยของนักกีฬา หลังไทยและกัมพูชา มีปัญหาข้อพิพาทชายแดน จนมีการยิงตอบโต้ปะทะกัน

สำหรับศึกซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 34 มาเลเซีย จะมีขึ้นระหว่าง 18-29 กันยายน 2027 โดยเจ้าภาพมาเลเซีย วางจัดแข่งขันใน 4 เมือง คือ กัวลาลัมเปอร์, ซาราวัก, ปีนัง และยะโฮร์ เบื้องต้นกำหนดชิงชัยทั้งสิ้น 38 ชนิดกีฬา ด้านไทย เตรียมเป็นเจ้าภาพอาเซียนพาราเกมส์ หรือ กีฬาคนพิการอาเซียน ในครั้งที่ 13 ต่อเนื่อง ในระหว่างวันที่ 20-26 มกราคม 2569 ที่จังหวัดนครราชสีมา โดยจะมีการชิงชัยกันทั้งสิ้น 19 ชนิดกีฬา 534 เหรียญทอง

Thailand Concludes the 2025 SEA Games, Transfers Hosting to Malaysia for 2027

The 33rd SEA Games concluded with a formal closing ceremony. Thailand ended its role as host and officially transferred the SEA Games flag to Malaysia, the host for 2027.

Thailand achieved significant success as host, winning 233 gold medals and securing the overall championship for a record 14th time, the most in SEA Games history. This result also set a new record for gold medals at a single SEA Games, surpassing Vietnam’s previous record of 205 in 2022.

The 33rd SEA Games were held from 9 to 20 December 2025 across Bangkok and Chonburi. The closing ceremony took place on 20 December at Rajamangala National Stadium, marking the final day of competition.

Before the ceremony, registered sports fans arrived at the stadium in the afternoon and participated in venue activities. Gates opened at 3:00 PM, and the ceremony began at 7:00 PM.

Captain Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, presided over the closing ceremony, joined by Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports; Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand; Assoc. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, and Chaiyapak Siriwat, Vice President and CEO of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF). The event was attended by executives, athletes, officials, and representatives from participating nations.

The ceremony opened with a moment of silence for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. Organizers then presented a light, sound, and visual performance titled “The Sound of Whistle… Echoes of Competition.” Artists Daou Pittaya Saechua and Kratae Rsiam delivered vibrant performances. Athletes from all 54 sports disciplines paraded into the stadium. Captain Thammanat Prompao delivered a summary address on the competition. Spectators blew whistles together as a symbolic final signal, marking the extinguishing of the SEA Games flame.

Assoc. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn presented the SEA Games flag to Chaiyapak Siriwat, who then handed it to Dr. Mohammed Taufiq bin Johari, Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, representing the 2027 host nation. The ceremony concluded with Malaysia’s performance titled “The Sound of Champions… The Song of Victory.”

At the 2025 SEA Games, Thailand reclaimed the overall championship for the first time since 2015. The host nation won 233 gold, 154 silver, and 112 bronze medals across 573 events, securing its 14th overall title and setting a new record for gold medals at a single edition.

Indonesia finished second in the final medal standings with 91 golds, followed by Vietnam with 87, Malaysia with 57, Singapore with 52, and the Philippines with 50. Myanmar placed seventh, Laos eighth, Brunei ninth, and Timor-Leste tenth. Cambodia withdrew due to security concerns related to border tensions with Thailand.

The 34th SEA Games will be held in Malaysia from 18–29 September 2027. Competitions will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang, and Johor, with 38 sports disciplines. Meanwhile, Thailand will host the 13th ASEAN Para Games from 20–26 January 2026 in Nakhon Ratchasima. This event will feature 19 sports and 534 gold medals.

ดร.ก้องศักด ยอดมณี ผู้ว่าการการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย เปิดเผยว่า ผลงานของนักกีฬาไทยเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายที่วางไว้ หลายชนิดกีฬาทำผลงานได้ตามเป้าและเกินเป้า ขณะที่บางชนิดกีฬาอาจทำผลงานต่ำกว่าเป้า ซึ่งถือเป็นเรื่องปกติ พร้อมขอบคุณสมาคมกีฬา ผู้ฝึกสอน และนักกีฬาทุกคน ที่ทุ่มเทอย่างเต็มที่ จนทำให้การเป็นเจ้าภาพซีเกมส์ครั้งนี้ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างงดงาม

“บางสมาคมอาจได้เหรียญไม่มากนัก แต่สามารถทำสถิติผลงานได้ดีขึ้น บางชนิดกีฬามีนักกีฬาดาวรุ่งเกิดขึ้นใหม่ ซึ่งสามารถนำไปต่อยอดได้ในอนาคต เรื่องเหล่านี้ถือเป็นสิ่งที่น่าพอใจ เพราะการพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักกีฬาในระยะยาว มีความสำคัญไม่แพ้จำนวนเหรียญรางวัล” ดร.ก้องศักด กล่าว

ผู้ว่าการ กกท. กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า สาเหตุสำคัญที่ทำให้ไทยคว้าเหรียญทองมากที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์ซีเกมส์ครั้งนี้ มาจากการบรรจุชนิดกีฬาสากลเป็นหลัก ซึ่งนักกีฬาไทยมีศักยภาพและความได้เปรียบในระดับอาเซียนมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง จากผลงานในมหกรรมกีฬานานาชาติ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเอเชียนเกมส์ หรือโอลิมปิกเกมส์ รวมถึงการที่ซีเกมส์ครั้งนี้มีชนิดกีฬาและจำนวนรายการชิงเหรียญมากที่สุด

ทั้งนี้ ดร.ก้องศักด แสดงความเชื่อมั่นว่า สถิติเหรียญทองที่ประเทศไทยทำไว้ในซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 33 จะยังไม่ถูกทำลายได้โดยง่าย อย่างน้อยในอีกสองครั้งถัดไป ได้แก่ ซีเกมส์ 2027 ที่ประเทศมาเลเซีย และซีเกมส์ 2029 ที่ประเทศสิงคโปร์ เนื่องจากชนิดกีฬาและจำนวนเหรียญชิงชัยจะไม่มากเท่าครั้งนี้

Dr. Kongsak Celebrates Thailand’s Record 14th SEA Games Gold Title

Thailand finished the 33rd SEA Games with a record 233 gold medals, securing the overall title for the 14th time. This surpasses Vietnam’s previous record of 205 golds at the 31st SEA Games in 2021 (held in 2022).

Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), stated that Thai athletes met or exceeded expectations in many sports. He thanked sports associations, coaches, and athletes for their dedication, which contributed to the Games’ success.

“Some associations may not have won many medals, but they achieved improved performance benchmarks. In certain sports, young talent has emerged who can be further developed for the future. These outcomes are equally satisfying, because long-term athlete development is just as important as medal counts,” Dr. Kongsak said.

The SAT Governor noted that Thailand’s focus on international-standard sports, in which Thai athletes have consistently performed well at the ASEAN, Asian, and Olympic Games, was key to the record gold medal count. He also highlighted that the 2025 SEA Games included the most sports and medal events in the competition’s history.

Dr. Kongsak is confident that Thailand’s 33rd SEA Games gold medal record will remain unbroken for at least the next two editions, as the 2027 Games in Malaysia and the 2029 Games in Singapore are expected to feature fewer sports and medal events. He added that this reduction may make it more difficult for other nations to surpass Thailand’s record, further reinforcing Thailand’s position as the region’s top-performing nation.

Malaysia’s men’s sepak takraw team won the gold medal in the Regu final of the 2025 SEA Games, defeating Vietnam.

Syahir Rosdi, Azlan Alias, and Farhan Adam won the first set against Vietnam 15–9.

Haziq Hairul Nizam replaced Syahir in the second set, and Malaysia maintained their lead, winning 15–9 to secure the gold medal.

This is Malaysia’s first men’s Regu gold medal in sepak takraw since the 2017 Kuala Lumpur Games.

Malaysia beat Indonesia 15–7, 15–10 in the semifinals.

Vietnam beat hosts Thailand 2–1 (15–13, 6–15, 15–9) to reach the final.

Vietnam’s Vo Thi My Tien Claims First-Ever SEA Games Gold in Open Water Relay

Vo Thi My Tien earned her first SEA Games gold by helping Vietnam win the mixed 4×1,500m open water relay at the 33rd SEA Games.

The Vietnamese team of Vo Thi My Tien, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Kha Nhi, and Mai Tran Tuan Anh finished first in 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 18 seconds. They beat Singapore by 35 seconds in the 6-kilometer open water race at Jomtien Beach, Chonburi Province, on 20 December.

This was Vietnam’s 87th gold medal at the SEA Games. The country currently ranks third in the medal standings, behind Thailand and Indonesia.

The victory was especially significant for 20-year-old My Tien, who had previously earned 13 SEA Games medals—five silver and eight bronze—but had not won gold until now.

Born in 2005 in Tay Ninh Province, My Tien has competed in three SEA Games.

At the 33rd edition, she participated in freestyle, the 10km open-water marathon, butterfly, and women’s individual medley. She earned three silver and five bronze medals, making her Vietnam’s most decorated athlete at the tournament.

In previous individual events, My Tien often finished behind Gan Ching Hui of Singapore and Kamonchanok Khwanmuang of Thailand. In this mixed open water relay, she outperformed both. Singapore took silver, and Thailand earned bronze with a time of 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 27 seconds.

Earlier in the Games, My Tien faced controversy after winning silver in the women’s 400m individual medley. She was publicly addressed by the Vice President and Secretary-General of the Vietnam Aquatics Federation beneath the medal podium, which left her in tears and drew widespread criticism on social media.

On this occasion, My Tien achieved her long-awaited goal by winning gold. 🥇🇻🇳

Vo Thi My Tien is also the partner of Pham Thanh Bao, a fellow Vietnamese swimmer who won gold in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and bronze in the men’s 4×100m medley relay. During the competition, he formed a “T” with his hands to show support for her.
