You have the ability. You have shown it in practice. So why does it disappear in the moments that count?
I know I can play better than this. So what is stopping me?
Practice and competition are fundamentally different environments. Not just in intensity or consequence — but in the psychological demands they place on the player. In practice, no one is reading your body language. There are no real consequences for a missed shot. The coach is giving feedback. The emotional stakes are lower.
In competition, all of that changes. And players who have only ever trained in a comfortable environment discover— often painfully— that their skills do not transfer the way they expected.

Tennis is chaos management.
