GALLERY KANG WAT CRAFTED EXHIBITION IN YOKOHAMA

‘Sawasdee Craft’ From cute greetings, leading to great meeting of craftsmen and artist of both in and outside Ching Mai. This project is an exchange space between the GallerKangWat from Chiang Mai, Thailand with the AAA Gallery from Yokohama, Japan.

‘Baan Kang Wat’ is a craftwork community that consists of more than 30 people. The community is running under the cooperationof themembers to elevate the craftsmanship and its value, to have a variety of arts such as painting, sculpturing, embroidering, dyeing, bookbinding, basketry, leatherwork, etc. Every member is an artisan who has the expertise and has been working on
craftwork continuously until they can provide the workshop and D.I.Y. for those who would like to learn and try.

‘Gallery Kang Wat’ is an artwork display and an exhibition area started by the cooperation of the members of Baan Kang Wat community in order to exhibit on various occasions. The gallery also provides opportunities for the outsider to use the area to exhibit their works in order to help each other, and it also intends to create an artist network.

Furthermore, the gallery is also has a selected shop which consists of finely selected products from many brands in Chiang Mai and all over the country. The commodities are affordable to serve the purposes of helping entrepreneurs and to distributes nice commodities to the customers.
