Match day recap, 24Mar26

The latest matches at the Lanna Pool Club brought notable performances and shifts in the standings across all divisions. Players showcased their skills in closely contested matches, leading to some changes in rankings, particularly in Division 1 and Division 3.

In Division 1, "Renegade Rebels" and "Sungular 2" ended their match in a 6-6 draw. Johnny, Nathan, Ton, and Jim from Renegade Rebels each contributed to the scoreline, while Ale from Sungular 2 stood out with three wins. This result helped "Sungular 2" ascend to the top of the standings, overtaking "Wind Down", who lost 4-8 to "Barz-TH". Pang from Barz-TH was instrumental with four wins. "Sungular 1" secured a convincing 9-3 victory over "OMG", with Dang leading the charge with four wins, pushing "Sungular 1" up to third place. Meanwhile, "You and I Bar" defeated "Rewind" 9-3, with Tom and Dennis each winning four games, though this did not affect their seventh position in the standings.

In Division 2, "Blue Sky Bright" and "Can Do Bar" also ended in a 6-6 tie. Nan from Blue Sky Bright and Terry from Can Do Bar were key players with three wins each. Despite the draw, "Blue Sky Bright" maintained their second-place position. "Wild Boars" continued their dominance with a 7-5 win over "Franco-Thai", with Sam leading the team with three wins, keeping them at the top of the division. "Tip Top Tigers" moved up three places to third after an 8-4 victory against "Nut's Scratchers", thanks to Neil's four wins. The standings saw "Krusty's Klowns" drop to fourth, while "Nuts Danglers" fell to sixth after their match was cancelled.

Division 3 saw significant changes, with "Ae's Place" taking the top spot after a decisive 9-3 win over "Maxim Bar". KD's four wins were pivotal in this victory. "Wild Hogs", who previously led the division, dropped to second following their 4-8 loss to "Blue Sky Babes", where Day and Bo each secured three wins. "Blue Sky Bombshells" defeated "Number 1 Top Guns" 8-4, with Jules and Tooktaa each contributing three wins, though this did not change their ninth position. "Number 1 Pop Guns" and "Krusty's Jokers" ended in a 6-6 draw, with Ball and Taylor being standout performers with three and four wins, respectively, but neither team's standings position changed as a result.

2. Do not forget about your cup matches. If not completed by mid season meeting on Thursday 23Ap26 both teams will be disqualified and not proceed to second round.

Match day recap 17Mar26

The Lanna Pool Club hosted an exciting day of cue sports with several key matches across all divisions. The results have led to some shifts in standings, with standout performances from various players making significant impacts for their teams.

In Division 1, "Wind Down" delivered a commanding performance against "Rewind," securing an 11-1 victory. Max, Pink, Troy, and Heath each contributed significantly, with Pink and Troy both winning four games each. This victory propelled "Wind Down" to the top of the standings, overtaking "Sungular 2," whose match was cancelled. "Nuts at the table" edged out "Barz-TH" 7-5, with Jeff-7 and Stefan each winning four games, maintaining their position at the bottom of the table despite the win. "Renegade Rebels" also impressed with a 9-3 win over "Sungular 1," thanks to strong performances from Johnny and Phillip, who each secured three wins. This result helped them climb one spot in the standings. "You and I Bar" narrowly defeated "OMG" 7-5, with Mac leading the way with three wins, although this did not impact their standing.

In Division 2, "Wild Boars" dominated "Can Do Bar" with an 11-1 victory, maintaining their top position. Kong, Sam, and P*e were instrumental, each winning four games. "Blue Sky Bright" secured a solid 9-3 win over "Nuts Danglers," with Nan winning four games, ensuring they remain in second place. "Krusty's Klowns" moved up two spots to third after defeating "Nut's Scratchers" 10-2, with Jordie leading the charge with four wins. "Franco-Thai" also recorded a 9-3 victory against "Tip Top Tigers," but remained in eighth place.

In Division 3, "Ae's Place" won 8-4 against "Kangaroo," with Simon securing five wins, keeping them in second place. "Wild Hogs" continued their strong form with a 7-5 win over "Maxim Bar," maintaining their lead at the top. Steve and Jackie each contributed three wins. "Number 1 Top Guns" climbed two spots to third after defeating "Number 1 Pop Guns" 7-5, with John and ABB each winning three games. "Blue Sky Bombshells" narrowly defeated "Blue Sky Babes" 7-5, but this did not affect their standing at the bottom of the table.

Two other notes:
1. Get your cup matches in before end of break. If not completed before Mid season meeting, both teams will not be in the draw at mid season meeting and shall forfiet. Season will not be delayed further if you fail to get your cup matches in over the next four week, everyone had almost 2 months to complete.

2. Mid - season meeting scheduled for Thursday 23Apr26. Venue TBD and pending confirmation.

Match day recap, 10Mar26:

The Lanna Pool Club hosted a series of competitive matches yesterday across all three divisions. The action saw significant performances from players and some shifts in the standings, particularly in Division 3. Here is a detailed recap of the day's events.

In Division 1, "Barz-TH" secured a solid 8-4 victory over "Sungular 2", with Zean BZ leading the charge by winning four matches. Despite the loss, "Sungular 2" maintained their top position in the standings. The clash between "OMG" and "Wind Down" ended with "Wind Down" triumphing 9-3, largely thanks to Troy WD's four wins. This result enabled "Wind Down" to climb to third place, overtaking "Sungular 1", who drew 6-6 with "You and I Bar". The match between "Rewind" and "Nuts at the table" saw "Nuts at the table" come out on top with an 8-4 victory, with Brian Natt contributing four wins. The "Renegade Rebels" had their match cancelled against "Bye Div 1-2", leaving their position unchanged.

Division 2 witnessed "Can Do Bar" edging out "Franco-Thai" with a 7-5 win, driven by Mai CD's three victories. "Nuts Danglers" defeated "Wild Boars" 7-5, with Roy ND's four wins playing a crucial role. This victory propelled "Nuts Danglers" from sixth to third in the standings, while "Wild Boars" remained at the top despite the loss. The match between "Tip Top Tigers" and "Krusty's Klowns" ended in a 6-6 draw, with Air TT and Jordie KK each securing three wins for their respective teams. The match between "Nut's Scratchers" and "BYE" was cancelled, leaving their standings unchanged.

In Division 3, "Blue Sky Babes" narrowly defeated "Number 1 Pop Guns" 7-5, with Marky BSB and Bo BSB each securing three victories. "Krusty's Jokers" and "Ae's Place" ended in a 6-6 stalemate, with consistent performances from both sides. "Kangaroo" overcame "Maxim Bar" with a 7-5 win, helped by Bank Kangaroo's three wins, which saw them leap to fourth place in the standings. The "Wild Hogs" moved to the top of the standings with an 8-4 win over "Blue Sky Bombshells", driven by Steve WH's three victories. The match between "Number 1 Top Guns" and "BYE DIV 3" was cancelled, resulting in no changes to their standings.
