RANKINGS BOOST FOR DONALDSON AND WESTWOOD
Following his win on Sunday, Jamie Donaldson moves up into 43nd in the Official Golf World Ranking, while Lee Westwood's joint runner-up finish moved him up into 50th.
Players ending the season inside the top 50 will gain automatic entry to the Masters Tournament and the World Golf Championship events. Donaldson and Westwood are assured of playing in The Open after earning their spots through The Open Qualifying Series in Thailand.
The biggest move of the week, however, came from Frenchman Clement Sordet, who started the week ranked 481st and ended it 238rd after finishing in second alongside Westwood.

PHACHARA HEADING FOR THE OPEN
The Thailand Golf Championship has been a part of The Open Qualifying Series since 2014 and offers four spots at the world's oldest and most international championship for those players who are not already exempt.
The 2015 Thailand Golf Championship saw the top-3 finishers - Jamie Donaldson, Lee Westwood and Clement Sordet - all claim their spots at Royal Troon next summer. Joining them in Scotland will be rising Thai talent Phachara Khongwatmai, who fired a brilliant 66 on Sunday to grab solo sixth spot.
Phachara has a remarkable story. He is only 16 years old and only made it into the field at Amata Spring after Monday qualifying.
"I am now overwhelmed with happiness that I will play in The Open next year," said Phachara.

France's Clement Sordet making the most of his invitation to compete this week ... the 22-year-old is 5-under on the day through 9 holes and up into solo third place. What a performance!
Sordet only turned pro this year and won on his fourth start on the European Challenge Tour at the Northern Ireland Open. He's clearly a great talent.

Jbe Kruger shoots 64 to make a huge move up the leaderboard.
"I made some good putts and I hit the ball really well today," said the South African. "I wasn’t really thinking of the magical 59 because I haven’t been able to make any putts lately. It’s great to get off to a hot start. I was just trying to hit it as good as I can out there.
"We have got world-class golfers here this week and it will be hard to catch them but I know if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. I’m very happy with my round today. It’s a great move up the leaderboard. I hope to continue playing well tomorrow."
Well played, sir!
