IPF President Victor Bevine elected to Board of FISpT Heralding New Cooperation-As part of a general reorganziation, the Federation Internationale du Sport pour Tous (FISpT) has elected IPF President Victor Bevine to serve as a Board Member for the Olympic cycle ending in 2024. Under the leadership of President Franco Bruno Ascani and General Secretary Dr Igor Lanzoni, both confirmed at the 2021 General Assembly held on 15 May 2021, the IOC-recognized FISpT has pledged to reassert its rightful place as a force in the worldwide Sport For All movement. IPF sees great potential in this new relationship, helping to bring Parkour to athletes everywhere, regardless of race, gender, national origin or economic circumstances. "This is a natural relationship," President Bevine said, "since Parkour has such low barriers to entry, and IPF is already hard at work supporting the growth of Parkour in the developing world." IPF Secretary-General David Thompson added, "We are excited to offer our Peace through Parkour initiative as a vehicle to help support FISpT's mission to bring the benefits of organized sport to all populations globally." In addition to Bevine, a highly distinguished slate of officers and board members from 4 continents was elected, including IPF Vice President Mehdi Arash Salmanpour as a fellow board member. Alireza Sharifi and Mohamadreza Sharifi, athlete founders of (the Iranian Parkour Federation), presented IPF with beautiful gifts from Iran at WFPF World Parkour Championship 2018- Mardin, Turkey. They also presented a gift to Arash Salmanpour, president of AFPU (Asia Freerunning Parkour Union) and IPTC (International Professional Training Certification). These three gentlemen have been IPF partners for many years in the effort to grow Parkour around the world. After 10 years, our dreams came true. From the world first skatepark we built in a university two years ago, today our sports are officially included in the Thailand University Games. This allows our skaters/riders to be supported by their universities and those who graduated from high school could be accepted to a university on skate or BMX scholarships.
