Fun times working on ROOTS the performance. Yaan Music

River City Bangkok main stage, as part of the Mango Arts Festival, 2023. “Roots” is a performance by Natasha Devalia, with live music by Chawalit Saowapakpongchai, Nopparuj Satjawan, Thakoon Boonma of Yaan Music based in Bangkok, choreographed by Ampinee Suwunsawet. Travellers: A performance by Aria Moore, Ampinee Suwunsawet & Natasha Devalia
“Ah, not the early evening dawn has faded away.
The half-covered star was rising high.
Isn't it time for a good person?
It's time for the good person
To go home from the field.
Go home.
Oh, you my servants, my faithful brothers,
You come to me.
Bring a trio,
Bring three grey-haired horses to sit with me.
Sit down and then go.
Go home.”
In loving memory of

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.”
— William Shakespeare.
This was to be our stage with Aria. Today we made the film with a recording of her voice. It moved the clouds, the water, both of us, the dogs and all the standers-by. We danced at sunset, on our beach under the tree, just as we had planned to do. 💔❤️

All of us at Studio Figure Eight are broken by the news of the sudden passing of our Music / Sound Director Aria Moore. She was the sound mastermind behind all of our projects over the last two years, an integral part of our team.
We’d like to extend our sympathies to her family, students, and friends.

It’s time to say goodbye to the Studio Figure Eight, Koh Samui chapter. It’s been a wonderful three years of building friendships, of teaching, being taught, creating, rehearsing, and performing.
Big thanks to Jiew, Nej, Karan, Valerie, Ampinee, Shanon, and all the other teachers who passed through - for their sincerity, dedication and hard work, not to mention the expertise in their fields - and to all the students for trusting Studio Figure Eight. We will miss you. I hope very much, that you continue to dance, practice yoga, and do your fitness trainings.
If you are in Bangkok look me up.
A Studio Figure Eight, Bangkok chapter is in the thought process.
“to be continued...”
***Important***
