Seven days.

18 carp.

9 fish in one day including 2 40s!

A 50lb 2oz.

A new PB common.

But more than that…

Laughter. Rain. Proper graft.

Good company. And great memories

Seven Days at Millstone – Day 6 🎣

After the chaos of yesterday… everything slowed down.

The lake felt different.

One bite.

Just one.

Iit turned out to be the last fish of the trip…

and a new PB common.

49lb 5oz.

Not quite another 50…

but honestly,

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the week.

When that net went under her, I knew she was special.

Some fish just mean more.

Especially when it's a personal best 🐳

Seven Days at Millstone – Day 5 🎣

This was the day it peaked.

A 20.

Then a proper 44lb 1oz brute of a mirror

And then — a take that felt different.

Heavy. Slow. Intentional.

When it rolled in the edge…

I knew.

50lb 2oz cracker in the morning mist

And 38lb 8oz mirror

From a soaked start to the week…

To this.

One of those sessions where everything builds…

And then it delivers 👊🎣

Seven Days at Millstone – Day 4 🎣

After the madness of Day 3…

The action slowed (it had too!)

Tuesday brought three fish

All 30s to 36lb 3oz!

Solid. Hard-earned.

Then Wednesday…

Just one bite.

But what a bite.

A pristine 38lb 7oz common!

It's funny old game carp fishing.

One day chaos.

The next, you’re waiting for a single chance.

And sometimes, with a little patience ....

That one chance is all you need 👊🎣

This is where it changed.

It started just after first light.

One bite.

Then another.

Then chaos.

Six fish in five hours.

Take after take

And in the middle of it…

A 42lb 2oz common.

A 43lb 10oz mirror.

Nine fish in total that day!

6 fish over 30lb!

From quiet and soaked on arrival…

To one of the most frantic mornings I’ve had in France.

Swim 11 was well and truly awake.

And we were only a few days in to the week 👀

It didn’t stay quiet for long…

22:30 Sunday night.

After the wet, silent first night…

The alarm finally ripped off.

Left-hand rod.

One toner.

A slow, heavy fight in the inky French darkness.

36lb 2oz mirror.

First fish of the week.

From that moment, I knew Swim 11 had potential.

But this was only the beginning…
