Every week as part of the Sunday check in with my clients, one of the questions I ask is “Name a win from the last week”
Now these wins can be anything.
I encourage non scale based wins mostly!
And this is honestly one of my favourite wins to hear from a client.
This clients main goal is to lose weight
But if you don’t improve your relationship with food then keeping the weight off once you lose it will be a lot more difficult.
Through various strategies and coaching with my clients, this is something we work on a lot during the program.
Wouldn’t you like to eat some good food and not feel guilty after? Or not sack off everything you’re doing because you’ve “already ruined it so might as well start again Monday” and STILL be able to achieve your goals?
Yeah. I thought so.

I haven’t been on holiday in 5 years.
But this is the first time that I’ve ever looked at pictures and NOT deleted every single one of them.
Why did I used to do that?
Because I HATED how I looked.
I was never happy with myself in a bikini.
I always wanted to hide how I really looked because I was embarrassed.
So I either avoided having pictures taken, or I deleted them / never showed anyone.
And the result?
No memories to look back on.
No pictures of me at the ages of X, Y and Z
Sad right?
You may look at this and think I must be confident now to be posting it on social media
But I still have body confidence issues
And it’s something that’s been improved through a lot of self work and advice from mentors.
This has seemingly been a pretty consistent problem that my clients have come to me with as well.
Hiding behind their family in pictures.
Just taking pictures of the kids and not wanting to get in there with them for one.
But this shouldn’t be normal
You don’t want to get older and regret not having had more pictures with loved ones or in cool places or on fun nights you want to look back on.
And it’s through methods I’ve used for myself that are now helping my clients
Because weight loss isn’t always going to improve confidence or how you see yourself.
There’ll always been something new to pick at
So it’s important to work on your relationship with yourself NOW

If you don’t lose weight but your relationship with food improves, please understand that is a massive win…
Weight loss will come eventually
When my client told me this they had the biggest smile on their face, and this is from a girl who freaked out if she ‘only’ lost a pound a week to start with…
The fact she now sees the value in these wins is huge as well

New goals aren’t always necessary
In fact, part of the core process and understanding within effective goal setting is understanding your goals.
Goals may well stay the same from week to week, month to month and year to year
And that’s AO.K!
Especially if that particular goal is something that requires relentless continuous consistency
I actually urge you NOT to set new goals
And instead continue is exactly as you are
And providing you’re making the relevant progress you WILL end up at that end goal with good time.
Don’t make the mistake of jumping ship from one goal to another simply because you’re not quite there yet
Or it’s taking too long
Be patient
Play the long game
And you will get your goals!
