📍I am very glad😃 to share with you all that, We opened the 2nd IBRO-ARC Tunisian School on Fundamentals of Neuroscience, 🧠Neurological Disorders, and Therapeutic Approaches: A Focus on Parkinson’s Disease🧠 which will be held in Tunisia for the second time.

📍I encourage all MD, MSc, Ph.D.´s, and Postdoctoral to apply for this wonderful opportunity.

School description:

Aims and Scope of the School:

This 10-day IBRO-ARC school will provide intensive day-to-day and face-to-face interactive sessions on basic principles of neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases/disorders. The school aims to build capacity in neurosciences in Africa especially for young African researchers that use a small animal as an experimental model in their studies. The course will focus on Parkinson’s disease, basic behavioral tests in neuroscience, experimental modeling, and translational applications. In Africa, such research is lacking while the scientific potential exists.

Description:

The school will cover basic principles of neural networks, neural transmission, plasticity, and neurodegenerative diseases with specific training focused on Parkinson’s disease. The school’s goal is to educate students in the field of neurodegenerative diseases seen from a conceptual and methodological point of view and make them aware of the therapeutic advances. The school will also include a number of professional development workshops and practical training (behavioral testings, qPCR gene expression, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting).

Who should apply to this School?

Masters, PhD-students, and young scientists in the neuroscience field from all over Africa. Only students from the 🌍African region are eligible to apply.

What costs will be covered for selected applicants?

Airline tickets, accommodation, and meals for selected students.

يتشرف "المجتمع التونسي لعلوم الأعصاب" (TSN) بدعوتكم لحضور حفل إفتتاح أول مدرسة علمية دولية من نوعها بتونس حول الأمراض العصبية (مرض الزهايمر، التصلب العصبي، المرض الرعاش) وذلك يوم يوم 25 نوفمبر 2019 بكلية العلوم بصفاقس قاعة "الدكتوراة".
تكون الجلسة العلمية بعنوان " من وظائف الدماغ الأساسية إلى الأمراض العصبية".

علما وأن الاجتماع المزمع عقده في الفترة ما بين 24 نوفمبر إلى 1 دسمبر 2019 ينعقد بكلية العلوم بصفاقس.
من أبرز داعمي المدرسة "المجتمع الدولي للكيمياء العصبية" (ISN) والمنظمة الدولية لعلوم الأعصاب (IBRO) بالتعاون مع جامعة صفاقس وكلية العلوم بصفاقس. تضم المدرسة أكثر من 26 طالب من تونس وإفريقيا في اختصاصات متعددة من طلبة طب الأعصاب وطلبة ماجستير ودكتوراه.
كما تتشرف المدرسة العلمية بدعوة أكثر من 10 باحثين في هذا المجال من كامل أقطار العالم مثل كندا، إسبانيا، ألمانيا، فرنسا، المغرب،إيطاليا، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية مصر، كينيا، و تونس البلد المستضيف.

تهدف هذه المدرسة العلمية إلى مساعدة الباحثين الشبان وإلى الإسهام في إرساء أرضية علمية مختصة بمجال الأعصاب بتونس خاصة وإفريقيا عامة. وهذا ما دفع المشرفين على هذا المشروع الأكاديمي والعلمي التعويل على بعض الشخصيات العلمية المعروفة بخبرتها ورصيدها العلمي.
وقد تبيّن من خلال الجلسات التفاعلية أن معظم الطلاب لم يتلقوا تعليماً خاصا في هذا الموضوع، الامر الذي يعزز قيمة بعث هذا المشروع العلمي الفريد من نوعه، وأهمية الملتقى المزمع عقده أواخرشهر نوفمبر من اجل تحفيز الباحثين الشبان، ومن اجل ردم الهوة بين البحث العلمي في توجهاته النظرية والطب في طابعه الممارساتي والعلاجي، لكن وهلى وجه الخصوص، من اجل الدفع بمبادرة تعاون على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي للإسهام في بعث مشاريع موصولة بهذا الاختصاص والاختصاصات المتفرعة عنه أو المتداخلة معه.

أتساءل دائما ما الذي يدفع العلماء لإفناء حياتهم في المخابر.. ما الروح التي يحملونها، وما كمية الخير الذي يتمتعون به ليقضوا أعمارهم من أجل نفع الأناس من حولهم.. والملايير من البشر الذين لا يعرفونهم حول العالم.. حتى على بعد قرون من زمانهم..

أتساءل عن كمية الشغف التي يحملونها بين جنباتهم.. عن النَفَسِ الطويل.. الذي يجعلهم يقضون السنوات الطوال داخل مخابرهم..

وما يمكننا أن نفعله كي نرد لهم القليل من الجميل.. الذي بفضله، حفظوا حياة الملايين من البشر بعد موتهم..

لا يؤتي الله علمه وتوفيقه ومفاتيح العصر إلا للعاملين.. بعيدا عن الأضواء.. من أجل الإنسانية.. من أجل العالم.. وفقط..
