Last week, Nishi Trading growers took part in hands-on training on watermelon maturity, harvest and postharvest handling.

Watermelons don’t continue to ripen after harvest, so choosing the right fruit at the right time matters. Careful harvesting and handling also help prevent damage and protect the quality growers have worked hard to produce.

We were honored to welcome the Associate Vice-President of IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) alongside board members and executive leadership from MORDI Tonga Trust to the Nishi Trading facility today!

A highlight of the tour was taking our guests onto the floor to watch our dedicated team running an active Ouana juice production batch! It was a proud moment showcasing how we take fresh, locally grown produce and turn it into premium bottled juice through strict food safety and pasteurization standards.
