Mr. Nazar Hussein Hasan Al-Zaidi, applied to our clinic with the diagnosis of cholangiocellular carcinoma (biliary tract cancer). Biliary tract was obstructed and bilirubin and liver function tests were very high at the time of admission. Abdominal MRI examination revealed that the patient had locally advanced disease. The patient was consulted to the general surgery department and was considered to be inoperable with the current situation. Thereupon, a biliary drainage catheter was inserted into the patient. Afterwards, the patient was started on chemotherapy with the administration of medical oncology and internal medicine specialist associate Prof. Dr. M. Metin.3 cycles of chemotherapy was successfully completed on 16th August. After chemotherapy, our patient's general condition was very good and all laboratory tests were normalized. The patient was referred to general surgery for the operation.
