Ballet is an effective form of general physical training for children 🩰

Ballet develops the body holistically. During classes, the muscles of the back, legs, and core work, shaping beautiful posture, building endurance and balance. Regular practice improves coordination and flexibility, increases attention span and self-discipline.

Through exercises set to music, a child learns to feel rhythm, control movements, and maintain proper body alignment. Ballet combines physical development with aesthetics, helping children become strong, resilient, and confident.

Preparations for the summer performance are in full swing. Seamstresses are sewing costumes, children are rehearsing their numbers. At the same time, we decided to remind everyone how to behave in the theatre — so as not to distract anyone and to enjoy the experience.

Why don’t we have a selection process for children?

Taking a child who already has good skills and leading them to a result is not the hardest task. But taking a little one who has put on ballet shoes for the first time, helping them fall in love with movement, believe in themselves, and step onto the stage within a couple of months — that is true pedagogy.

That’s why our school doesn’t have a selection process. A child gains the desire to try, receives support, and experiences gradual development. Every child grows at their own pace, and every child gets to try ballet 🤍

At our school, we offer a free trial class. It’s a way to get to know the school, the approach, and the atmosphere. There are no obligations, no “you have to do this.”

The most valuable part comes after the class. The teacher gives feedback: what the child is already good at, and where there’s room for improvement. What to pay attention to, which muscles to strengthen, which direction to develop.

It’s like getting a map where it’s already marked: “here everything is great, and here you can work a little more.”

Some things aren’t immediately visible but provide a strong foundation — floor barre (parterre gymnastics) is one of them. Let us explain why this part of the class is so important:

The child works on the floor, with no strain on the spine or joints, and can focus calmly on how their muscles work. This is how the muscle corset is built — it supports posture, helps the child move more easily, and feel their own body.

As a result, the child starts standing straighter, moving more confidently, and controlling their body better 🩰
