LA PICCOLA PETRA DELLE MARCHE! Appena fuori il centro storico di Ascoli Piceno troviamo una delle costruzione barocche più insolite e particolari non solo delle Marche, ma probabilmente a livello nazionale. Si tratta del Tempietto di Sant’Emidio alle Grotte, edificato tra il 1717 ed il 1721, su progetto di Giuseppe Giosafatti. Certo fare paragoni con le architetture di Petra (Giordania) potrebbe sembrare ardito, ma l’indiscusso fascino dell’edificio che emerge dalla parete di roccia lascia davvero stupefatti. Un luogo talmente affascinante da averlo inserito in alcune delle nostre pubblicazioni (collana Le guide in tasca). Buon Sant’Emidio alle Grotte a tutti!
