Angry? Frustrated?

This quick exercise allows you to
EX-PRESS (press out) whatever needs to move within you. Best done to start your day or right when you get triggered by someone. It creates more space in the mind, diffuses negative emotions, and opens the chest area!

1) Take 20 big breaths as big as you can and slightly blow your exhale
2) Big inhale then tone with mouth open one time (as long as you can) while throw your arms (flapping your wings)
3) Close your eyes and see or feel what is within (30 seconds or so)

☝🏼☝🏼 REPEAT 3 TIMES

Modern Breathwork activates sympathetic response which releases epinephrine, adrenaline, and cortisol into the system. This is known as a fight or flight response.

The best way to balance this out is to discharge through movement, sound, expression, and specific guidance.

Many common practices utilize breath to simply charge the body and mind… assuming that the breath itself will integrate psychological trauma. This is not an efficient approach because it can just reactivate old patterns without resolution or empowering the breather.

3 sets of:

1.) 20 expansive breaths
😴 as big as you can on exhale
😴 feel the body let go each exhale
2.) after 20th… hold breath and contract muscles
😴 squeeze pillow if you have one
😴 squeeze legs together if you have full body pillow
3.) Relax and feel the sheets or skin
😴 Feeling gets you out of your head and into your body

Repeat 3 times to complete sets
